"We vacation in the same neighborhood every year and love the area. This year we decided to stay at the Bear Den property because we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and wanted to stay at a truly beautiful place that had something for everyone. Starting with the house itself: lots of room to spread out, decorated to create a very warm relaxing feeling, the kitchen was well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The beds were comfortable. The backyard was amazing. After spending the day at the lake it was perfect to sit outside on the back deck to enjoy playing cards, sitting in the hot tub and making s'mores while sitting around the fire pit. Of course breakfast and dinner were enjoyed outside on the large picnic table. Afternoon naps were taken out on the patio on the large comfy couch. Once parked, you really do not need to get back in your car. The lake and Zephyr Cove Resort are both a couple of minutes walk from the house."

"Pinewild is an upscale-gated condominium community right on the lake. We have been staying at Pinewild since the 1990's but never on the meadow. This unit over looks the meadow with a great view and is very quite. The meadow was used to film the opening scene of the original TV series Bonanza.
It is only a short walk from the front door to the lake and a wonderful beach. This unit is a great bargain at the nightly or weekly rate. If you love the lake and a Tahoe setting this is the place you want to stay. You are only minutes from a large shopping center and the casinos. You are just across the street from great dinning and a sports bar that has great hamburgers and pizza. We are in the process of checking our calendar for a return visit.

"We stayed in this home with a large group of friends and coworkers over Thanksgiving. Overall, we had a very good time and enjoyed our stay. For the value, this is a great home to stay in and I would recommend it.
Pros: The home is a beautiful log cabin that looks much better than the photos here on VRBO, so use your imagination when looking at the photos. I was very impressed when I finally stepped inside : ) Large and fantastic hot tub that works very well and has a nice ambiance in the trees. Lots of bunk beds for single travelers (we did not have many couples in our group so it worked well), so I would recommend the home for larger groups of friends. The large living room did not feel cramped with our large group. You can walk <10 minutes down to the beach, or head up the road to incredible lake views. Casinos and bars are a short drive away, as well as beautiful hiking trails. the home is stocked with lots of towels, lotion, and soap for your use. The home is dog friendly, which is hard to come by and ideal for our group with two dogs. Also, maintenance was done quickly when we reported an issue with the toilet, which was pleasantly surprising over a holiday.
Cons: The lighting in the home could be improved. There are stairs up to the master and stairs down to the bunk rooms, which was fine for us, but may not be ideal for very young children. The floor in the master bedroom upstairs creaks very loudly whenever you walk up there, so whoever sleeps in the main room bedroom will hear every footstep. The dining room table was a bit too small for a large group at Thanksgiving. The dryer is also quite old and takes a long, long time to dry anything."

"My wife a I wanted a cozy cabin away from the crowd yet close to the lake and amenities (when we wanted them). We found this cozy cabin and were delighted. It has a private beach a 2 min. walk away looking out the front window on forest trails. Perfectly suited for our anniversary!
You will enjoy it!"
