"We really enjoyed our time in this house. The beds were really comfortable - best we have had in a VRBO. It was located minutes from things we wanted to do and see and the house was very well stocked with all the things we needed to fix our meals for 4 adults for the week. Having the internet and printer available was a huge blessing too - since we were in the middle of selling our home and dealing with that via email. We could never have managed without those amenities. The bathrooms were very nice and having the laundry room downstairs was also very handy. We loved that we could walk across to the nice beach or climb up to Cave Rock with ever having to drive anywhere. The owners were super easy to work with as well and went the extra mile to help us out and give us tips on things. We would recommend you consider staying in this home. The only reason I did not give this house 5 stars was because the home was that it is located on the main highway, so you do hear the traffic some. That said it was not super loud and it did not hinder our sleep since the bedrooms are located in the back of the house - so it was not a major issue."Guest: Michal Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: July 10, 2014View listing
"The cabin was very spacious and was able to hold seven guests along with the family dog. The bedrooms were large enough two fit two guests per room without having the feeling of being crammed. The bathroom was also very comfortable and had enough hot water for everyone. Zephyr Cove is located at the epicenter of many activities found in South Lake Tahoe. Grocery stores, shopping outlets, and casinos were just minutes away. We were able to rent a boat from the Zephyr Cove Marina which was located a few miles away from the cabin. Seventeen miles from the cabin was Mount Tallac, one of the largest mountain trails that my kids were able to hike. The views were breathtaking at every angle of the cabin. On the deck guests can use the grill or soak in the hot tub with a view of the lake. The beach below the cabin was very clean and seclusive. My kids enjoyed the included kayaks and were able to use them during the hottest days we were visiting. This cabin was worth every penny. We appreciated the beach towels and bath towels that were included in the package and it was nice to know that there were bikes for the kids to ride. Though we were not able to roast marshmallows or explore the bike trail, we will definitely put them on our to-do list for our return. I highly recommend this cabin for any traveler looking for a great view of the lake and great adventures that surrounds it. The cabin offers a feeling of togetherness, which my family greatly appreciated. Those travelers who are more sedentary than my kids will also find plenty of adventures in the casinos, shops, and dining establishments all just a short drive from the cabin."Guest: Tina R Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: June 29, 2014View listing
"Our family of 6 stayed here over Labor Day Weekend and had an amazing time. The kitchen/living area was plenty large enough to accommodate everyone comfortably; especially with the huge dining table in the kitchen. The wood deck off the kitchen offered a great view of the lake and another dining option. The beach was literally 100 steps away with Round Hill Marina a short walk away. Home is located in a private community which offers a quiet, peaceful environment. Would definitely stay again!"Guest: Eagles Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: September 12, 2014View listing
"I am a return customer to this same condo, but I have only been here during the winter months. I wanted to see what it was like during the summertime or fall. No matter what time of the year this condo has the best views and amenities. You are close to many locations for hiking, casinos, great restaurants, site seeing, shopping, and being an outdoor adventurer. If you have a desire to see Lake Tahoe, this would be the place to rent! Love it!"Guest: Dina Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: October 5, 2014View listing
Lake Tahoe South East Shore NV Travel Tips
Lake Tahoe Vacation Rentals on the Southeast Shore Make the Ideal Vacation Destinations
The lakeside beauty of Lake Tahoe is legendary and has been drawing visitors for decades. Lake Tahoe is the largest alpine lake in North America and its crystal clear blue waters and surrounding snow-capped Sierra Nevada Mountains are picture-perfect. Set 6,229 feet above sea level and measuring 22 miles long and 12 miles wide, it offers plenty of activities all year long. The California/Nevada border runs down the center of the lake and is mainly of significance as all the casinos are on the Nevada side of the lake, located close to the border at Southeast Shore.
Lake Tahoe is a popular bolthole from the big cities with wealthy Californians who want to ski in the winter and escape the heat in the summer. South Shore has plenty of shops and theaters as well as a great choice of restaurants, wine bars and casinos.
What to Expect in the Changing Seasons at Lake Tahoe Cabins
Lake Tahoe has warm sunny summers with very little rainfall. Spring and fall are beautiful seasons with plenty of natural colors. The winter is cold with temperatures barely rising above freezing during the day and guaranteed snowfall from late November through March.

Kings Beach, Tahoe City, Crystal Bay and Incline Village are just some of the places to head for around the lake.
Further afield, the old silver mining town of Virginia City is a delightfully authentic town with boardwalks along the street and a host of bars, souvenir shops, fine mansions and attractions

The high season in Lake Tahoe is during the winter months when there is world-class skiing in this scenic area. There are hundreds of ski runs and numerous resorts offering alpine and cross country skiing, tobogganing, snowmobiling, sleigh rides and other winter sports.
In the summer, there is a vast network of mountain trails for hikers and mountain bikers. Sailing, fishing and paddleboating can all be enjoyed in the summer months and kayaking in the green waters of Emerald Bay is particularly lovely. Cruises are available up and down the lake and the US Dixie Paddlewheeler makes a traditional sight on the water. Golf and tennis are widely available. The mountains are also the ideal place for paragliding, climbing, abseiling and other exciting sports.
Lake Tahoe Vacation Rentals Are Better than Hotels in Lake Tahoe
Lake Tahoe is not a cheap place to stay but there are plenty villas and apartments scattered along the lakeshore. These offer far more comfort and space for a family than the cramped hotel rooms offered in the town center. Set amidst peaceful pine forests with superb lake views, they offer the peace and tranquility which most visitors to Lake Tahoe are looking for. The fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to prepare snacks and meals for the family, and picnics can be packed and taken to the beach or on mountain hikes. Lake Tahoe cabins offer a cozy place to return to after a day on the slopes, with a warm fireplace and somewhere to dry wet outdoor gear.
