  • Fantastic place to stay

"We booked this property for 8 Quebec friends for a cycling trip. There is a bicycle shop at 1.2miles. Good location for the start of our rides; Mount Charleston, Red Rock Canyon, Zion Park, Valley of Fire and even closer to the Las Vegas Strip! The property was fantastic, very spacious/huge, very quiet. Nothing was missing, even a big cooler! Mary was very responsive to our numerous emails...everything was fine. I woud recommend this property to anyone visiting Las Vegas and the surroundings canyons."

  • Great Stay

"We had a wonderful experience in this unit at the Grand Sierra Resort. The unit is clean and comfortable, the butler's pantry is nice to have, the refrigerator is a good size and was very quiet at night. The unit is on the 19th floor and the views are excellent, especially at dawn and dusk. A nice surprise was the elevators -- with express elevators to the 17th floor and higher, it was almost like having our own elevator, usually with very little wait. The resort itself has everything you could want under one roof. And dealing with Ken and Tracy was a real pleasure, everything went very smoothly. All in all, a great experience."

  • Great Place

"We stayed here for 12 days! What a great trip and in part because the home was an excellent choice! It was so close to everything and we quickly learned the back roads to all the spots we wanted to go! The home was well stocked and comfortable! Thanks Alex for providing such a nice place. And Deb, we enjoyed meeting you and the great tips to help with our trip."

  • Fabulous condo

"We had a terrific time staying at this condo. The location was outstanding -- right near shops, restaurants, etc. and a short walk to the beach. The condo itself was in a great spot in the McCloud complex, looking out into the woods and not on a main path. The hot tub was right across from the condo which was a nice bonus. The inside of this condo is in great shape and it is extremely comfortable and well stocked. We had lots of meals at the dining room table and the living room was extremely comfortable. A huge extra were the very comfortable beds. We will definitely be back as this was a fabulous condo for our family and friends."

Nevada Travel Tips

Activities and Attractions at Nevada Luxury Home Rentals

If it's the bright lights of the Las Vegas strip that attract you to Nevada, you won't be disappointed. The many hotels, entertainment centers and casinos have a reputation for fun and excitement. Try your luck at the table or slot machines. You can also take in a show or see a live performance of your favorite artist. From Las Vegas vacation rentals, a great day excursion is to drive to the Hoover Dam. This impressive structure is one of the highest dam walls ever built. The hydro-electric system at the dam provides electricity to more than 20 million people in Las Vegas and Southern California. Other interesting sites nearby are Red Rock Canyon which has great rock climbing routes.

If you are visiting during the winter months, you may be surprised to know that there is a ski resort within an hour's drive of Las Vegas. Mount Charleston has some excellent downhill ski runs and snowboarding trails. Perhaps the better known region for skiing is the far northwest in the area surrounding Lake Tahoe. There are several top ski resorts that together have miles of cross country and downhill skiing trails. In the summertime, outdoor adventurers can explore the many hiking trails in the region. On the southern lakeshore, there are several casinos and resorts where you can try your luck. In the more rural parts of Nevada, there are miles of back roads exploring interesting landscapes. There are also numerous areas with biking and hiking trails to explore.

Best Time of Year to Visit Nevada Lodging

Even though Nevada has four distinct seasons, it is a year-round vacation destination. The summer months are hot and great for water sports and sightseeing. Outdoor activities can also be enjoyed as long as you are cautious of the midday heat. In the spring and autumn seasons, the temperatures are a little milder without being too cold. This is actually the ideal time of year to hit the trails. In the winter months, you can head to the ski slopes of Lake Tahoe or Mount Charleston. Naturally, in the casino cities of Reno and Nevada, there are no off seasons. Entertainment and fun happens all year.

Fun for Everyone in Nevada

Nevada is a state that has something for everyone. City slickers can enjoy the bright lights and casinos in Las Vegas, Reno and Lake Tahoe. Nature lovers can enjoy exploring the many nature trails and back roads. In the winter months, many skiing enthusiasts come to Nevada to enjoy the world-class skiing offered at the various resorts.
