  • Lovely Retreat

"My husband, our two kids and our furry child all stayed at this beautiful home over the MLK weekend. It was a lovely retreat for us and we enjoyed the space and its surroundings. The home was in beautiful condition and all the amenities were lovely. Between the master bedroom with views overlooking the lake to the downstairs theater room where everyone had their own recliner, everyone in our group was pleased and happy. We made use of the fireplace in the kitchen and in the Master Bedroom. Despite the lack of snow, the nights were perfect for snuggling and getting cozy around a fire. I hope to be back to property, and we'll bring friends along with us next time in order to take advantage of the Guest House! The owner was kind and available and I do look forward to our next trip to Lake Tahoe and to this beautiful property."

  • Great Value

"Beautiful Tahoe condo- great accommodations for family- everything you need and more. Amenities close by in all directions. Owners very resourceful and responsive to needs- first day of our stay we ran into steady rain. Owners gave us plenty of ideas to keep our kids entertained- options included Northstar Resort "arts and crafts", access to heated pool, bowling alley withing walking distance. When weather front passed- Sand Harbor 5 min drive was very convenient and where we spent most of our time- thanks! The only drawback would have been the charge for access to the beaches in Incline Village- instead your better off driving to Sand Harbor or pulling off the side of the road (if you don't have kids) and finding an inlet away from the crowds."

Nevada Travel Tips

Activities and Attractions at Nevada Luxury Home Rentals

If it's the bright lights of the Las Vegas strip that attract you to Nevada, you won't be disappointed. The many hotels, entertainment centers and casinos have a reputation for fun and excitement. Try your luck at the table or slot machines. You can also take in a show or see a live performance of your favorite artist. From Las Vegas vacation rentals, a great day excursion is to drive to the Hoover Dam. This impressive structure is one of the highest dam walls ever built. The hydro-electric system at the dam provides electricity to more than 20 million people in Las Vegas and Southern California. Other interesting sites nearby are Red Rock Canyon which has great rock climbing routes.

If you are visiting during the winter months, you may be surprised to know that there is a ski resort within an hour's drive of Las Vegas. Mount Charleston has some excellent downhill ski runs and snowboarding trails. Perhaps the better known region for skiing is the far northwest in the area surrounding Lake Tahoe. There are several top ski resorts that together have miles of cross country and downhill skiing trails. In the summertime, outdoor adventurers can explore the many hiking trails in the region. On the southern lakeshore, there are several casinos and resorts where you can try your luck. In the more rural parts of Nevada, there are miles of back roads exploring interesting landscapes. There are also numerous areas with biking and hiking trails to explore.

Best Time of Year to Visit Nevada Lodging

Even though Nevada has four distinct seasons, it is a year-round vacation destination. The summer months are hot and great for water sports and sightseeing. Outdoor activities can also be enjoyed as long as you are cautious of the midday heat. In the spring and autumn seasons, the temperatures are a little milder without being too cold. This is actually the ideal time of year to hit the trails. In the winter months, you can head to the ski slopes of Lake Tahoe or Mount Charleston. Naturally, in the casino cities of Reno and Nevada, there are no off seasons. Entertainment and fun happens all year.

Fun for Everyone in Nevada

Nevada is a state that has something for everyone. City slickers can enjoy the bright lights and casinos in Las Vegas, Reno and Lake Tahoe. Nature lovers can enjoy exploring the many nature trails and back roads. In the winter months, many skiing enthusiasts come to Nevada to enjoy the world-class skiing offered at the various resorts.
