  • Fantastic condo for a Conference at the MGM and all that Vegas has to offer!

"I booked this place for the great reviews and the great price. I was in Vegas for a 5-day conference hosted at the MGM Conference Center. I agree with the other reviewers about the important things: great bed, bathroom, kitchen, living area, and balcony. Very clean! And as a bonus, the owner was easy to work with and quick to respond to questions. She even helped me get tickets for a couple of shows. I thought this would be a convenient location, but it was much better than I guessed. Here's a few reasons why this place is great. First, this place is not like a typical hotel room. The mini-bar was stocked with snacks and drinks. The owner charges a minimal amount to cover her costs. The owner provides shampoo, soaps, and conditioner. She gave an informative tour of the building and room amenities my first day. Second, this is the absolute closest place to stay for a conference, it's a 3 minute walk from door-to-door if you take the 1 flight of stairs. Others I met staying at the main MGM and other Towers said it was a 10-15 walk. When you get short breaks at a conference it's nice to be able to get to the room and back in such a short amount of time. There's a nice walkway from the tower to the conference center, and your room key gets you in the side door not open to the general public. This saves a few minutes each trip not having to walk around the entire building. I bought a mono-rail pass to go explore other parts of Vegas. The boarding station is just a short walk from the tower. That meant I didn't have to pay for a rental car or taxi, but I still got the see a lot of the city and casinos. I will definitely stay here again."

  • Family Friendly

"Great Place for extended families. Upstairs bedrooms are "dorm" style and a good layout for kids of all ages. 2 bedrooms downstairs are roomy and comfortable for adults. We have stayed there 4 times and have really enjoyed ourselves. Easy walk to private homeowner's beach."

  • SSSHHHHHHH...THE BEST KEPT SECRET!

"There are thousands of vacation rentals around Lake Tahoe, so how do you pick the perfect place? We wanted to be close to the Lake, close to town, close to walking trails, and have a quiet building with a clean,up-to-date interior AND a breathtaking lake view. This 2br/2ba condo was exactly what we needed for a week of R&R. The quiet condo complex has a private beach/picnic area just steps away. The walking path was at the end of the driveway for scenic morning walks. The Hyatt (casino/spa goers) is about 2 miles away. A great location for Incline Village. Condo was recently completely rehabbed. Everything is new and clean. Kitchen was laid out well and equipped with everything you would expect. Both bedrooms/baths were on the lower level; big screen TV's in each bedroom; and very comfortable mattresses and linens. For late sleepers, the window treatments blocked out the light, but we kept them open to enjoy the view of the lake from the bed. There is a private patio off the bigger bedroom which also has the lake view. Bathrooms are small, but since it was just 2 of us, it wasn't an issue. Again, all new tile, toilets, sinks, showers (there is NOT a tub) & storage. There is a new Electrolux washer/dryer on the lower level across from the bedrooms. Upstairs is the Kitchen/Living area with a lake view you will always remember. Another big screen TV in the living room and a good size deck upstairs with a table/chair set and BBQ. This is a great place for couples and friend reunions. Because of the stairs and hardwood floors, I don't think I would recommend it for children. Both the owner, Mark, and manager, Terry, did a great job staying in contact and making sure we had a wonderful trip. One of our favorite outings: go to the Raley's grocery store (or download) and purchase ($20) the local CD:Around Tahoe. Wonderful narration as you drive around the lake.Be sure to take the side trip out to Squaw Creek Valley where the 1960 Winter Olympics were held. Amazing area to walk around. We would stay at this VRBO again. Thanks for sharing your home, Mark."

Nevada Travel Tips

Activities and Attractions at Nevada Luxury Home Rentals

If it's the bright lights of the Las Vegas strip that attract you to Nevada, you won't be disappointed. The many hotels, entertainment centers and casinos have a reputation for fun and excitement. Try your luck at the table or slot machines. You can also take in a show or see a live performance of your favorite artist. From Las Vegas vacation rentals, a great day excursion is to drive to the Hoover Dam. This impressive structure is one of the highest dam walls ever built. The hydro-electric system at the dam provides electricity to more than 20 million people in Las Vegas and Southern California. Other interesting sites nearby are Red Rock Canyon which has great rock climbing routes.

If you are visiting during the winter months, you may be surprised to know that there is a ski resort within an hour's drive of Las Vegas. Mount Charleston has some excellent downhill ski runs and snowboarding trails. Perhaps the better known region for skiing is the far northwest in the area surrounding Lake Tahoe. There are several top ski resorts that together have miles of cross country and downhill skiing trails. In the summertime, outdoor adventurers can explore the many hiking trails in the region. On the southern lakeshore, there are several casinos and resorts where you can try your luck. In the more rural parts of Nevada, there are miles of back roads exploring interesting landscapes. There are also numerous areas with biking and hiking trails to explore.

Best Time of Year to Visit Nevada Lodging

Even though Nevada has four distinct seasons, it is a year-round vacation destination. The summer months are hot and great for water sports and sightseeing. Outdoor activities can also be enjoyed as long as you are cautious of the midday heat. In the spring and autumn seasons, the temperatures are a little milder without being too cold. This is actually the ideal time of year to hit the trails. In the winter months, you can head to the ski slopes of Lake Tahoe or Mount Charleston. Naturally, in the casino cities of Reno and Nevada, there are no off seasons. Entertainment and fun happens all year.

Fun for Everyone in Nevada

Nevada is a state that has something for everyone. City slickers can enjoy the bright lights and casinos in Las Vegas, Reno and Lake Tahoe. Nature lovers can enjoy exploring the many nature trails and back roads. In the winter months, many skiing enthusiasts come to Nevada to enjoy the world-class skiing offered at the various resorts.
