  • Vegas family vacation

"Our family of five spent 8 enjoyable nights at the Oasis. The location was perfect, conveniently close to the Strip yet far enough away to relax in a very quite and gated community. The house was wonderful and accurately described on the listing, pool was a nice relief on those hot August days. Very well maintained and the owners were easy to communicate with via mail or phone and very helpful from start to finish. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting Las Vegas and surrounding areas. Look forward to returning in the future for our next family vacation at the Oasis Retreat."

  • Great Time!

"Just got back from Carson City. Had a great time staying in the Stonehedge house. It was very spacious and clean. We had our family over for a BBQ. Everyone was very comfortable. Also had fun riding bikes - even used wheel chair for our handicapped brother. Thank you, Jack & Sherry, for opening your beautiful home to us! We'll definitely be contacting you for future visits."

  • MGM Signature condo

"Our family enjoyed our stay at this condo. 3 kids in one room and parents in the other was comfortable. Pool was very quiet and still had access to MGM pool if your looking for something a little busier. A little walk to the strip and casino but for the family it was a great location."

  • Great place to relax!

"An excellent home away from home. We stayed for ten days and would have stayed longer if it was available. House was in great condition and had everything you could need. The pool was wonderful and the same goes for the whole backyard. Located in a quiet residential area where we never even heard the neighbours. Very close to the strip or downtown. Less than a ten minute drive, or a $18.00 cab ride to Major hotels on the strip. Walking distance to the grocery store. Overall the house was perfect and George was great to deal with and very helpful in providing information on places to eat as well as shopping locations. Would recommend this to anyone looking to get away from the crowds of the strip and have a quiet place to relax."

Nevada Travel Tips

Activities and Attractions at Nevada Luxury Home Rentals

If it's the bright lights of the Las Vegas strip that attract you to Nevada, you won't be disappointed. The many hotels, entertainment centers and casinos have a reputation for fun and excitement. Try your luck at the table or slot machines. You can also take in a show or see a live performance of your favorite artist. From Las Vegas vacation rentals, a great day excursion is to drive to the Hoover Dam. This impressive structure is one of the highest dam walls ever built. The hydro-electric system at the dam provides electricity to more than 20 million people in Las Vegas and Southern California. Other interesting sites nearby are Red Rock Canyon which has great rock climbing routes.

If you are visiting during the winter months, you may be surprised to know that there is a ski resort within an hour's drive of Las Vegas. Mount Charleston has some excellent downhill ski runs and snowboarding trails. Perhaps the better known region for skiing is the far northwest in the area surrounding Lake Tahoe. There are several top ski resorts that together have miles of cross country and downhill skiing trails. In the summertime, outdoor adventurers can explore the many hiking trails in the region. On the southern lakeshore, there are several casinos and resorts where you can try your luck. In the more rural parts of Nevada, there are miles of back roads exploring interesting landscapes. There are also numerous areas with biking and hiking trails to explore.

Best Time of Year to Visit Nevada Lodging

Even though Nevada has four distinct seasons, it is a year-round vacation destination. The summer months are hot and great for water sports and sightseeing. Outdoor activities can also be enjoyed as long as you are cautious of the midday heat. In the spring and autumn seasons, the temperatures are a little milder without being too cold. This is actually the ideal time of year to hit the trails. In the winter months, you can head to the ski slopes of Lake Tahoe or Mount Charleston. Naturally, in the casino cities of Reno and Nevada, there are no off seasons. Entertainment and fun happens all year.

Fun for Everyone in Nevada

Nevada is a state that has something for everyone. City slickers can enjoy the bright lights and casinos in Las Vegas, Reno and Lake Tahoe. Nature lovers can enjoy exploring the many nature trails and back roads. In the winter months, many skiing enthusiasts come to Nevada to enjoy the world-class skiing offered at the various resorts.
