  • Perfect Place for us!

"Just wanted to tell you how very much we enjoyed our stay at Kokomo Cottage. It was the perfect place for our family and it felt like coming home from the moment we arrived. We appreciated your orientation and helpfulness upon our arrival and found your place was very well appointed and had everything we needed. The family history was interesting and added to the feeling of home. Our two pets took to it right away which was a huge relief to us as we had just completed a long journey with them from Hawaii. Our daughter was thrilled to sleep in the bunk beds upstairs and it made her stay that much more special. As an Interior designer I really enjoyed the décor and found it fun and uplifting! Nice job, Jason! The chocolates, fresh flowers and bottled water were a nice touch as well and were greatly appreciated. We liked the desk set up in the corner of the Dining room and put it to good use. The general location of Kokomo was great for us too with lots of shops close by and easy access to the 215. The area offers great walking trails too! We would highly recommend Kokomo Cottage to others who are looking to stay at a “home away from home” and we would definitely stay here again."

  • Amazing experience!

"The resort was immaculate and the staff were very friendly. The location was perfect. Close to the strip but not among the hustle and bustle. We stayed in the 3 bedroom Presidential Suite and it was beautifully decorated, the beds were very comfortable and had all the comforts of home. I cannot say enough nice things about Laura, the owner. She was extremely helpful and trustworthy. I would not hesitate to book through her again!"

  • Over 60 mens soccer team

"We had 15 (age group) over 60 mens soccer team staying at the house for a soccer tournament over Martin Luther Kijng holiday weekend. The house worked out great. We had our own chef and the kitchen and outdoor bar-b-que worked out great. Between the outdoor space and dining room space there was plenty of room for eating and meeting. The beds worked out great even though 4 slept in bunk beds which were fine. Maxine was easy to get a hold of even though she wasn't having the best couple of weeks. The outdoor space had 2 radiant heaters which was nice at night. The location worked out well for our tournament. We had such a good time that we have more players who want to stay at the house next year. Thanks so much Maxine"

"Check in was fine, a little tough to find in the dark No parking pass for the garage, was delivered the next day. WiFi password not left in the room, had to call to get it. No soap of any kind in the bathroom No code to get in the gym Beautiful location close to Lake Mead. Quiet, peaceful, friendly people. Pool was great!"

Nevada Travel Tips

Activities and Attractions at Nevada Luxury Home Rentals

If it's the bright lights of the Las Vegas strip that attract you to Nevada, you won't be disappointed. The many hotels, entertainment centers and casinos have a reputation for fun and excitement. Try your luck at the table or slot machines. You can also take in a show or see a live performance of your favorite artist. From Las Vegas vacation rentals, a great day excursion is to drive to the Hoover Dam. This impressive structure is one of the highest dam walls ever built. The hydro-electric system at the dam provides electricity to more than 20 million people in Las Vegas and Southern California. Other interesting sites nearby are Red Rock Canyon which has great rock climbing routes.

If you are visiting during the winter months, you may be surprised to know that there is a ski resort within an hour's drive of Las Vegas. Mount Charleston has some excellent downhill ski runs and snowboarding trails. Perhaps the better known region for skiing is the far northwest in the area surrounding Lake Tahoe. There are several top ski resorts that together have miles of cross country and downhill skiing trails. In the summertime, outdoor adventurers can explore the many hiking trails in the region. On the southern lakeshore, there are several casinos and resorts where you can try your luck. In the more rural parts of Nevada, there are miles of back roads exploring interesting landscapes. There are also numerous areas with biking and hiking trails to explore.

Best Time of Year to Visit Nevada Lodging

Even though Nevada has four distinct seasons, it is a year-round vacation destination. The summer months are hot and great for water sports and sightseeing. Outdoor activities can also be enjoyed as long as you are cautious of the midday heat. In the spring and autumn seasons, the temperatures are a little milder without being too cold. This is actually the ideal time of year to hit the trails. In the winter months, you can head to the ski slopes of Lake Tahoe or Mount Charleston. Naturally, in the casino cities of Reno and Nevada, there are no off seasons. Entertainment and fun happens all year.

Fun for Everyone in Nevada

Nevada is a state that has something for everyone. City slickers can enjoy the bright lights and casinos in Las Vegas, Reno and Lake Tahoe. Nature lovers can enjoy exploring the many nature trails and back roads. In the winter months, many skiing enthusiasts come to Nevada to enjoy the world-class skiing offered at the various resorts.
