"This VBRO property is a gem! Small, but perfectly appointed. This was supposed to be a ski trip, but both of us were sick so we ended up spending more time in the condo than we had planned. Sitting on the sofa and gazing out at the lake was a treat. Pros: - The sunsets were beautiful, but we thought the sunrises were even better! - The rain shower was fantastic and it was a nice added touch to provide shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. - The kitchen had everything we needed. We appreciated the selection of spices and were also thrilled to find a full sized coffee maker and nice, big coffee mugs. - The Murphy bed was very comfortable. Much better than a sofa sleeper. - We enjoyed a location away from the crowds and outside of town. - Had we been able to ski, the location was perfect for accessing the Nevada runs. Cons (very minor!): - Everyone in the building shares internet access. We had trouble getting all our devices connected to the router. If internet access is important to you, connect your most important devices first. We never were able to get our laptops connected...had to rely on iPads for access. - For us, the location was a positive. If you want to be near the action, though, you'll have to drive down to it. Spencer was very easy to work with and very responsive. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and will return."

  • Convenient location, spacious, great pool

"We had a wonderful stay at this Henderson home. It was very close to the major thoroughfare, yet in a private, quiet neighborhood. The home was fully equipped, had plenty of linens, and a great pool with a covered lounging area. The customer service provided by Richard, the house manager, was excellent. He responded to all of our needs promptly and courteously. Arranging the rental was easy and the owner was very accommodating to our requests. The property was clean and having a garage with a garage door opener was most convenient. The website was accurate in its description and pictures. I would recommend this home to friends and relatives."

  • Its beautiful!!

"The house was so beautiful, big and well equipped. We enjoyed a lot during our stay there. Everything you need is available there. Soaking in the hot tub was fantastic. We really loved the pool table. Beds were very comfortable and it was overall a great stay. Moreover the red rock canyon and fire valley is 30 mins away which was good."

Nevada Travel Tips

Activities and Attractions at Nevada Luxury Home Rentals

If it's the bright lights of the Las Vegas strip that attract you to Nevada, you won't be disappointed. The many hotels, entertainment centers and casinos have a reputation for fun and excitement. Try your luck at the table or slot machines. You can also take in a show or see a live performance of your favorite artist. From Las Vegas vacation rentals, a great day excursion is to drive to the Hoover Dam. This impressive structure is one of the highest dam walls ever built. The hydro-electric system at the dam provides electricity to more than 20 million people in Las Vegas and Southern California. Other interesting sites nearby are Red Rock Canyon which has great rock climbing routes.

If you are visiting during the winter months, you may be surprised to know that there is a ski resort within an hour's drive of Las Vegas. Mount Charleston has some excellent downhill ski runs and snowboarding trails. Perhaps the better known region for skiing is the far northwest in the area surrounding Lake Tahoe. There are several top ski resorts that together have miles of cross country and downhill skiing trails. In the summertime, outdoor adventurers can explore the many hiking trails in the region. On the southern lakeshore, there are several casinos and resorts where you can try your luck. In the more rural parts of Nevada, there are miles of back roads exploring interesting landscapes. There are also numerous areas with biking and hiking trails to explore.

Best Time of Year to Visit Nevada Lodging

Even though Nevada has four distinct seasons, it is a year-round vacation destination. The summer months are hot and great for water sports and sightseeing. Outdoor activities can also be enjoyed as long as you are cautious of the midday heat. In the spring and autumn seasons, the temperatures are a little milder without being too cold. This is actually the ideal time of year to hit the trails. In the winter months, you can head to the ski slopes of Lake Tahoe or Mount Charleston. Naturally, in the casino cities of Reno and Nevada, there are no off seasons. Entertainment and fun happens all year.

Fun for Everyone in Nevada

Nevada is a state that has something for everyone. City slickers can enjoy the bright lights and casinos in Las Vegas, Reno and Lake Tahoe. Nature lovers can enjoy exploring the many nature trails and back roads. In the winter months, many skiing enthusiasts come to Nevada to enjoy the world-class skiing offered at the various resorts.
