  • Great for a big group

"We had a great stay here with a group of 18. The house was clean and well stocked when we arrived. We did not feel crowded at all having so many bedrooms with bathrooms and separate living areas. Great views of the lake and location was ideal. Very close to Heavenly, the lake, and the casinos. The owners/managers were responsive to all of my questions before our arrival. I will book this house again for my next trip to Tahoe!"

  • Thankgiving Getaway

"We stayed in this home with a large group of friends and coworkers over Thanksgiving. Overall, we had a very good time and enjoyed our stay. For the value, this is a great home to stay in and I would recommend it. Pros: The home is a beautiful log cabin that looks much better than the photos here on VRBO, so use your imagination when looking at the photos. I was very impressed when I finally stepped inside : ) Large and fantastic hot tub that works very well and has a nice ambiance in the trees. Lots of bunk beds for single travelers (we did not have many couples in our group so it worked well), so I would recommend the home for larger groups of friends. The large living room did not feel cramped with our large group. You can walk <10 minutes down to the beach, or head up the road to incredible lake views. Casinos and bars are a short drive away, as well as beautiful hiking trails. the home is stocked with lots of towels, lotion, and soap for your use. The home is dog friendly, which is hard to come by and ideal for our group with two dogs. Also, maintenance was done quickly when we reported an issue with the toilet, which was pleasantly surprising over a holiday. Cons: The lighting in the home could be improved. There are stairs up to the master and stairs down to the bunk rooms, which was fine for us, but may not be ideal for very young children. The floor in the master bedroom upstairs creaks very loudly whenever you walk up there, so whoever sleeps in the main room bedroom will hear every footstep. The dining room table was a bit too small for a large group at Thanksgiving. The dryer is also quite old and takes a long, long time to dry anything."

  • A perfect spot for one (as I was) or six!

"The owners of this condo have done everything just right. Immaculate and up to date. Everything one could need is present. I felt at home, very safe and secure as I was on my own. The underground parking is a major perk especially if you find yourself here in the winter. If you are skiers this spot is just where you want to be!"

  • Super happy with this place!

"We loved our 7-night stay here! Gorgeous, clean, huge house with plenty of room to hang/cook/eat/sleep. Rooms and floors have great sound insulation too (in case you have sleeping (or not) sleeping kids). Location is spectacular and peaceful - great view over Lake Tahoe up in the trees with the birds and very near to Sand Harbor (our favorite beach). Jeff the owner was very professional and clear in all correspondence. We would definitely recommend this place. Thanks Jeff!"

Nevada Travel Tips

Activities and Attractions at Nevada Luxury Home Rentals

If it's the bright lights of the Las Vegas strip that attract you to Nevada, you won't be disappointed. The many hotels, entertainment centers and casinos have a reputation for fun and excitement. Try your luck at the table or slot machines. You can also take in a show or see a live performance of your favorite artist. From Las Vegas vacation rentals, a great day excursion is to drive to the Hoover Dam. This impressive structure is one of the highest dam walls ever built. The hydro-electric system at the dam provides electricity to more than 20 million people in Las Vegas and Southern California. Other interesting sites nearby are Red Rock Canyon which has great rock climbing routes.

If you are visiting during the winter months, you may be surprised to know that there is a ski resort within an hour's drive of Las Vegas. Mount Charleston has some excellent downhill ski runs and snowboarding trails. Perhaps the better known region for skiing is the far northwest in the area surrounding Lake Tahoe. There are several top ski resorts that together have miles of cross country and downhill skiing trails. In the summertime, outdoor adventurers can explore the many hiking trails in the region. On the southern lakeshore, there are several casinos and resorts where you can try your luck. In the more rural parts of Nevada, there are miles of back roads exploring interesting landscapes. There are also numerous areas with biking and hiking trails to explore.

Best Time of Year to Visit Nevada Lodging

Even though Nevada has four distinct seasons, it is a year-round vacation destination. The summer months are hot and great for water sports and sightseeing. Outdoor activities can also be enjoyed as long as you are cautious of the midday heat. In the spring and autumn seasons, the temperatures are a little milder without being too cold. This is actually the ideal time of year to hit the trails. In the winter months, you can head to the ski slopes of Lake Tahoe or Mount Charleston. Naturally, in the casino cities of Reno and Nevada, there are no off seasons. Entertainment and fun happens all year.

Fun for Everyone in Nevada

Nevada is a state that has something for everyone. City slickers can enjoy the bright lights and casinos in Las Vegas, Reno and Lake Tahoe. Nature lovers can enjoy exploring the many nature trails and back roads. In the winter months, many skiing enthusiasts come to Nevada to enjoy the world-class skiing offered at the various resorts.
