  • Beautiful home - Great owner!

"The home was terrific and Monica, the owner, was wonderful to deal with. We gathered our whole family at this lovely spacious home in Incline Village/Lake Tahoe. The rental started off well as Monica is responsive and informative throughout the process. The home is fully stocked with everything you could possibly want to be comfortable. The bedroom arrangement allowed for the different family members to have privacy and the living areas large and comfortable for everyone to gather. The TV system is amazing but so high tech I had to call in my grandson and son-in-law to figure it out. Although I thought the kids would like the fantastic game room, the patio deck turned out to be our favorite spot. We were able to watch the fireworks at South Lake Tahoe from the comfort of the deck - and avoided the traffic and parking of traveling down there. We used the passes Monica provided to Ski Beach to pick up our boat rental. Everyone in our group had a wonderful time and was very sad to leave. We would rent the house again in a heartbeat!!"

  • A perfect place to stay

"Gorgeous view of the mountain and lake below. The condo is well appointed -- everything you need to feel at home, with an amazing bathtub too. Walking distance from a perfect place to play in the snow and watch the skiers. The 2 youngest kids slept in the upstairs bedroom, the oldest kid slept in the sleeping bag on the couch bed in the living area, and the parents enjoyed the lovely master bedroom downstairs. We speak good words about this place, and insist that you stay here! Thanks to the Ferguson family for sharing Black Bear Lodge with us :-)"

  • Geat Place BUT.......

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The place is great but the owners must have had a really bad experience. The contract reads like a threating document - if you do anything wrong you will pay! The rental even has warning signs posted with the possible fines posted all of which seem to start at $250. If you found anything broken or in disrepair you had to call the management company and tell them or be fined - we had to report 4 or 5 things. It turned into a running joke our entire stay. It would have been a much better experience if it would have been handled like any other typical rental. If as an owner you're going to be that paranoid about renting out your place perhaps you shouldn't rent it out. All being said its a nice place."

  • Nice

"Condo very nice. Be aware that the lack of air conditioner could pose a problem. The windows on upper levels heat up the place and to keep it cool you have to wait to late in the night for it to cool down. The master bedroom is right next to elevator so when you have windows open to try and cool off condo, you hear everyone coming and going down the walkway and getting on and off the elevator. Also leaving front door open to cool off place is not an option since it is directly in front of elevator and people can see in or break in easily. Would be better if screen door was a reinforced steel door so you could leave open but locked at night. Also the second bathroom is on main floor which is not convenient to guests staying in loft area( also guest bathroom does not have hair dryer). Porch is tiny, only room for two people. Other than that, very nice condo."

Nevada Travel Tips

Activities and Attractions at Nevada Luxury Home Rentals

If it's the bright lights of the Las Vegas strip that attract you to Nevada, you won't be disappointed. The many hotels, entertainment centers and casinos have a reputation for fun and excitement. Try your luck at the table or slot machines. You can also take in a show or see a live performance of your favorite artist. From Las Vegas vacation rentals, a great day excursion is to drive to the Hoover Dam. This impressive structure is one of the highest dam walls ever built. The hydro-electric system at the dam provides electricity to more than 20 million people in Las Vegas and Southern California. Other interesting sites nearby are Red Rock Canyon which has great rock climbing routes.

If you are visiting during the winter months, you may be surprised to know that there is a ski resort within an hour's drive of Las Vegas. Mount Charleston has some excellent downhill ski runs and snowboarding trails. Perhaps the better known region for skiing is the far northwest in the area surrounding Lake Tahoe. There are several top ski resorts that together have miles of cross country and downhill skiing trails. In the summertime, outdoor adventurers can explore the many hiking trails in the region. On the southern lakeshore, there are several casinos and resorts where you can try your luck. In the more rural parts of Nevada, there are miles of back roads exploring interesting landscapes. There are also numerous areas with biking and hiking trails to explore.

Best Time of Year to Visit Nevada Lodging

Even though Nevada has four distinct seasons, it is a year-round vacation destination. The summer months are hot and great for water sports and sightseeing. Outdoor activities can also be enjoyed as long as you are cautious of the midday heat. In the spring and autumn seasons, the temperatures are a little milder without being too cold. This is actually the ideal time of year to hit the trails. In the winter months, you can head to the ski slopes of Lake Tahoe or Mount Charleston. Naturally, in the casino cities of Reno and Nevada, there are no off seasons. Entertainment and fun happens all year.

Fun for Everyone in Nevada

Nevada is a state that has something for everyone. City slickers can enjoy the bright lights and casinos in Las Vegas, Reno and Lake Tahoe. Nature lovers can enjoy exploring the many nature trails and back roads. In the winter months, many skiing enthusiasts come to Nevada to enjoy the world-class skiing offered at the various resorts.
