  • First Class

"This was the third time our family has gotten together at Little Pine Lodge. Everything is absolutely first class and beautiful. The décor, furnishings, beds, linens are all fantastic. The most spectacular thing is the view of the lake. Our family really enjoyed having breakfast outside on the deck. We also enjoyed using the bar-b-que one evening. The kitchen is huge, so that many cooks can work at the same time. There is a beautiful large living room with a fantastic fire place-and also view. Our family really enjoyed spending an evening just talking to each other. In the downstairs there is a living room that kids can have to themselves. Please come. It is starting to feel like my second home. We plan to return next year. It's an absolutely fantastic place. Help keep the owners renting it out, so I can come back with my dear ones next year!"

  • Perfect place

"We stayed here for 6 weeks and had everything we needed. Owner is very helpful. Home is reasonably priced for what you get. We liked the location because it was easy to get to the Strip and downtown activities (they had some great free music shows). Smith Center was near and great shopping for everything. Nice very clean home with plenty of room. Will definitely stay here again."

  • On top at Incline

"This is a great house for large groups. There was plenty of space to kick back and relax after a day on the slopes and it was close to the ski resorts but far enough to be quiet and private. Views from the sunroom and some of bedrooms are fabulous. There are a lot of stairs, and while this gives some privacy to the individual members of the group, it also guarantees a work out for those staying in the lower rooms. :) Priyanka was very easy to work with and quick to respond to questions. Would recommend."

  • Las Vegas Best

"Another great stay at the Grand Desert! We can't say enough great things about this facility, it's well furnished, clean, quite, smoke free, one block from the strip, secure, convenient and extremely well maintained and staffed. Concierge is a knowledgeable source to help you plan shows or travel. The pools, and the provided entertainment are fun, comfortable and relaxing We have stayed at the strip hotels and we won't go to Vegas unless the Grand Desert has an opening. Why put up with cigarette odor, walking a mile from the garage to your room, and having to walk thru the casino to return to your room from the pool, in your bathing suit? The Grand Desert is our home away from home when in Vegas!"

Nevada Travel Tips

Activities and Attractions at Nevada Luxury Home Rentals

If it's the bright lights of the Las Vegas strip that attract you to Nevada, you won't be disappointed. The many hotels, entertainment centers and casinos have a reputation for fun and excitement. Try your luck at the table or slot machines. You can also take in a show or see a live performance of your favorite artist. From Las Vegas vacation rentals, a great day excursion is to drive to the Hoover Dam. This impressive structure is one of the highest dam walls ever built. The hydro-electric system at the dam provides electricity to more than 20 million people in Las Vegas and Southern California. Other interesting sites nearby are Red Rock Canyon which has great rock climbing routes.

If you are visiting during the winter months, you may be surprised to know that there is a ski resort within an hour's drive of Las Vegas. Mount Charleston has some excellent downhill ski runs and snowboarding trails. Perhaps the better known region for skiing is the far northwest in the area surrounding Lake Tahoe. There are several top ski resorts that together have miles of cross country and downhill skiing trails. In the summertime, outdoor adventurers can explore the many hiking trails in the region. On the southern lakeshore, there are several casinos and resorts where you can try your luck. In the more rural parts of Nevada, there are miles of back roads exploring interesting landscapes. There are also numerous areas with biking and hiking trails to explore.

Best Time of Year to Visit Nevada Lodging

Even though Nevada has four distinct seasons, it is a year-round vacation destination. The summer months are hot and great for water sports and sightseeing. Outdoor activities can also be enjoyed as long as you are cautious of the midday heat. In the spring and autumn seasons, the temperatures are a little milder without being too cold. This is actually the ideal time of year to hit the trails. In the winter months, you can head to the ski slopes of Lake Tahoe or Mount Charleston. Naturally, in the casino cities of Reno and Nevada, there are no off seasons. Entertainment and fun happens all year.

Fun for Everyone in Nevada

Nevada is a state that has something for everyone. City slickers can enjoy the bright lights and casinos in Las Vegas, Reno and Lake Tahoe. Nature lovers can enjoy exploring the many nature trails and back roads. In the winter months, many skiing enthusiasts come to Nevada to enjoy the world-class skiing offered at the various resorts.
