  • sunapee lake fabulous

"we loved our stay at bud's cove! the weather was rainy and gloomy much of the trip but it didn't stop us from swimming and boating all week long. We rented all 3 cabins for our family and was glad we did. We used the top cabin for evening card games the bunk house for evening chats and the center cabin for everything else. We had an unfortunate thing happen while we stayed here in that our new Jeep was totalled by a driver that wasn't watching the road, no one was hurt thankfully. The owners helped us a great deal navigating the community . I would definitely go back again. Of note however to walk up and down to the waterfront if you are elderly or have bad knees, it is a hike!"

  • a perfect choice for us

"Chris, We want to tell you is how much we really enjoyed your authentic craftsman’s bungalow house. In the 13 years of doing the annual league of NH Craftsman's fair and staying in various places in the Sunapee area, your house was the most beautiful, historically interesting, and best furnished place by far. What a joy it was to come back to every evening. We sat out in the back with a glass of wine enjoying the old stately trees around us and just relaxed until sunset. It was an unexpected treat. Thank you!"

  • Outstanding !

"We just returned from a 4 night stay at the North Star house and the house is wonderful. Bright, cheery, well stocked and a very nice location to visit many attractions as well as hiking in their woods. Having breakfast waiting for us in the refrigerator for our first morning was such a nice touch. Bill and Jenny have certainly put a lot of effort into making this house rental a special moment in all that visit it. The place is immaculately clean and the owners responded quickly to all emails. I would certainly recommend the North Star house as a rental. The Fall foliage was at its peak and there were many festivals in the area we enjoyed."

  • Great Family Vacation

"I have to start off by saying how friendly, gracious and welcoming Carol & Al are!!! We have never felt so at home on vacation! The cottage is very clean, comfortable and cozy. We felt it had everything our family of 4 needed. Blaisdell Lake is absolutely beautiful, clear and quiet (which is amazing since we were there during 4th of July festivities). We had so much fun swimming, fishing and boating and the kids also liked hunting for the tiniest toads I have ever seen! I can't say enough good things about Damselfly Cottage.......this is the 5th year we have rented a lake house and our 1st time here (we usually pick a different spot every year) and this is the first place that we have ever considered coming back to. I hated to leave! I am so happy to have been able to enjoy this little piece of heaven in NH."
