  • Amazing weekend.

"I've been meaning to write this for a while, but never got around to it. But this place definitely deserves a 5 Star rating. We had a guys weekend at this location about 2 years ago and it was perfect. It was the ideal spot for just eating, drinking, swimming out to the rocks, playing poker, and spending hours playing the ring toss game. It's not your ordinary bar version, but a 30ft+ rope version. I'm pretty sure some of the guys are already planning another escape to this little getaway after the summer madness is over."

  • Cozy cabin

"Cozy cabin on Baptist Pond. The interior of the house is very charming with nice woodwork and floors. The kitchen was great for cooking. The pond is viewable from the many windows on the house. The Hannaford grocery is so convenient located nearby. They provided 3 boats with oars and the kids had much fun rowing around the lake. The pair of loons on the lake were beautiful as well, we watched (and heard) them morning, day and evening. We would come back and continue to explore the area, there is so much more to be seen in the area."

  • great for toddlers!

"We stayed at this property in July 2010. We would go back for sure! The setting exceeded our expectations. We had anywhere from 4-6 adults and 3-4 kids under age 2 on any given day. The beach and shallow water are perfect for toddlers. The adults were able to sit on the shore while the kids played in the shallow water. The lake has a sandy bottom and the water is clear. The house is clean and has everything you need. The furnishings could probably use some updating but this was not an issue for us with so many little kids around. The owners also own the house next door and were extremely hospitable. Our only issue was that the week we stayed it was 90 degrees everyday and the house got extremely hot. We would bring extra fans if we knew it was going to be so hot again. Overall we had a wonderful stay at this cottage and would recommend it to friends and family."

  • A Welcoming Home for a Family Vacation

"We rented this property for a summer family vacation with our kids and young grandchildren. Everyone was instantly happy with the accommodations. The home has a really warm feel to it because of all of the beautiful wooden walls and ceilings. We loved sitting on the front porch, and the neighbors were all extremely friendly and helpful. The kitchen is the hub of activity, and there is plenty of room for everyone to gather around the large counter. The sandy beach by the dock area is small, but a short walk away, and perfect for toddlers and preschoolers who like to dig in the sand and paddle around in the water. There is a real neighborhood feel to the area. The property has a couple of kayaks and a canoe, which our family enjoyed using. The owners were extremely accommodating and helpful. The house is lovingly cared for. We liked that towels and sheets were provided, and all we had to do was leave them by the washing machine when we left. One day we took the little ones to the Montshire Museum in Norwich, Vermont, and they loved all the hands-on activities there. We celebrated our anniversary by having a delicious meal at the Flying Goose Restaurant in New London. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. We had great weather and enjoyed family meals out on the back deck. It was a wonderful vacation."
