"My wife and I stayed here from 9/29-10/6 with several friends from out of town and held our wedding reception here on the Saturday of our stay. The house is gorgeous and the care Bill and Jenny took in renovating and restoring it really show. It's deceptively big, and very open downstairs with the double living rooms/parlors, but there is plenty of space for privacy - we even had a 2 year old and her sick mom staying in the room above the garage and they didn't hear a peep from everyone up late in the parlors. The expandable dining room table was perfect for big house dinners, board games, and our small morning after brunch - I think we ended up comfortably seating ~15 people at any given time. The kitchen is better than any kitchen I've ever been in and a dream. For storage, there is plenty of space in the garage and attached entryway, and the garage was the perfect spot for our DIY flower prep.
The grounds are equally impressive - huge open fields, apple trees and berry bushes, fishing from huge slate rocks leading into the river, and awesome scenery with Mt. Ascutney right across the river. Wedding pictures beside the red barn and in front of the old gray shed were perfect, hay bales and pumpkins made our decorations all the more authentic, and the upper lawn was the PERFECT spot for our 30x60 wedding tent. Parking across the street and electricity to the tent were not problems thanks to Bill's efforts.
I can't say enough good about this house and would highly recommend it to anyone interested. We will 100% be returning at some point, and can't wait to do so!"

"We recently had a small family reunion in New London, and the out-of-towners rented this house on Little Lake Sunapee. It was perfect for two adult couples and two children, and had room for larger family dinners as well. The house is well laid out, with lots of different areas to spread out or have some separate time from others. The huge deck across the back of the house is wonderful, and we all spent alot of time there when we weren't hanging out on the dock or in the kayaks! There was a maintenance problem on our first day, but the owner was at the front door in ~5 min to check it out and had a serviceman there very quickly. Everything was resolved in a few hours--unlike other places we have stayed! The house is less than 5 min from the grocery store, and another 5 min to restaurants, etc in New London. Little Lake Sunapee is beautiful throughout the year, but especially in the summer. One note: the sun comes up very early in the summer and the BRs have fairly sheer curtains, so bringing your sleeping masks!"

"Our family of five (mom, dad, three teen boys),my mother and our two dogs had a wonderful week here! The owners welcomed Us and helped us with whatever we needed. There was plenty of parking and a boat ramp nearby. We moored our boat on the dock right out the back door. The house was clean and rustic. This vacation was truly about the lake! Wake boarding, water skiing, tubing, sight seeing and dining on the water! There is always something to do!I would recommend this house for families with older kids due to being right on the water. Great vacation!"

"The house was spacious and very comfortable; at one time, there were 6 adults and a baby. It was well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The location is ideal. It is secluded, yet near local attractions and close enough for day trips a little further away. While we were there, we went to Dartmouth and visited their art museum, hiked, went to the beach and visited an estate and gardens.
We did not use the community beach. Instead we opted to use the state beach, which did charge a fee."
