Recent Dartmouth-Lake Sunapee reviews

  • Beautiful studio near sunapee mountain

"We had a lovely stay here. Brett and Cindi were great hosts and had great suggestions for the area. The studio was very close to Sunapee, which made it perfect for a ski getaway. The room has a nice little kitchenette and was very private."

  • a perfect choice for us

"Chris, We want to tell you is how much we really enjoyed your authentic craftsman’s bungalow house. In the 13 years of doing the annual league of NH Craftsman's fair and staying in various places in the Sunapee area, your house was the most beautiful, historically interesting, and best furnished place by far. What a joy it was to come back to every evening. We sat out in the back with a glass of wine enjoying the old stately trees around us and just relaxed until sunset. It was an unexpected treat. Thank you!"

  • Old farm house with personality

"Among the hum drum of hotel rooms during our fall travels it was a delight to come across this farm house. It provided us a peaceful and back to nature setting during our travels. Centrally located to covered bridges, an interesting mineral mine and a maple syrup farm. If you would like an eclectic old farm house this is for you including two wood stoves."

  • Cozy country retreat

"My husband and I stayed in this charming farmhouse for Presidents' Day weekend with our three-year-old and one-year-old girls, and we had a wonderful time. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for cooking, as well as plenty of spices and condiments. The house's floor plan accommodated our family perfectly: we used the two downstairs bedrooms and put the baby's travel crib in the passageway between the living room and master bedroom. One thing I'd note to families with small kids is that there isn't a bathtub; but our girls did fine with a big bowl and some wash cloths in the shower. The setting is idyllic, with views eastward across the lake in one direction and westward over a big pasture in the other direction. We had frigid temps and loads of snow while we were there, but we were still able to play outside a bit, using the sleds stored in the barn on the quiet dead-end road that the house sits at the end of. We also enjoyed a little time at the local branch of the town library, where the librarian was nice enough to let us borrow a few DVDs. It was the perfect "country getaway" that we'd been looking for!"
