"I rented 3 houses on Sunapee for a family wedding nearby and this house was just perfect. We had a pre festivities party and the deck was just the right place to be comfortable. The setting is spectacular and the owners were so helpful with so many things from booking to putting up a sign to let people know that we were staying there. The eclectic nature of the house is charming and the location is wonderful but quiet. This was the house we all gathered at for the down times because it just was comfortable and just fit us all whether on the dock or deck or inside. This is a very special place and is even better than advertised. I hope we can do it again as I feel Lucy and Greg are now friends."

"The house was spacious and very comfortable; at one time, there were 6 adults and a baby. It was well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The location is ideal. It is secluded, yet near local attractions and close enough for day trips a little further away. While we were there, we went to Dartmouth and visited their art museum, hiked, went to the beach and visited an estate and gardens.
We did not use the community beach. Instead we opted to use the state beach, which did charge a fee."

"My husband and I stayed in this charming farmhouse for Presidents' Day weekend with our three-year-old and one-year-old girls, and we had a wonderful time. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for cooking, as well as plenty of spices and condiments. The house's floor plan accommodated our family perfectly: we used the two downstairs bedrooms and put the baby's travel crib in the passageway between the living room and master bedroom. One thing I'd note to families with small kids is that there isn't a bathtub; but our girls did fine with a big bowl and some wash cloths in the shower. The setting is idyllic, with views eastward across the lake in one direction and westward over a big pasture in the other direction. We had frigid temps and loads of snow while we were there, but we were still able to play outside a bit, using the sleds stored in the barn on the quiet dead-end road that the house sits at the end of. We also enjoyed a little time at the local branch of the town library, where the librarian was nice enough to let us borrow a few DVDs. It was the perfect "country getaway" that we'd been looking for!"
