  • Fantastic

"We spent a wonderful week in this beautiful home. The photos represented the property. Some of our favorite things - large, well equipped kitchen, big, sunny family room, and downstairs pool table/bunk bed area for the teenagers. The lake is crystal clear and on the shallow side so it is safe for kids and amazingly warm. We used the kayaks every day. We also loved the location - about 30 minutes to either Wolfeboro or Gilmanton. The Shaker Village is nearby as well. Dick was a great communicator and a pleasure do deal with. We highly recommend this property!!"

  • A lovely getaway

"My husband and I enjoyed a lovely week on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee. There could not be nicer and more welcoming hosts/owners than Bryan and his family. Though they are right next door, ( and you share a dock) they kindly gave us privacy. The house is very tidy and well cared for. It's slightly quirky with a kitchen and living/sleeping space on both levels. Ideal for a family with teenagers. Because it was just the two of us we stayed mainly on the first level where the view is quite nice! At times, the space felt a bit tight and we may have preferred more space. The town of Meredith is worth exploring and so nice to be able to walk from Bryan's place. For some reason the coin operated laundry bugged me but I know it wouldn't bother everyone. What it lacked in charm it made up for in hosts and a beautiful view and easy water access."

  • Beautiful location, Charming home, Very accommodating owners.

"This was a High school graduation celebration. Our daughter and her three friends comfortably stayed in the tree house. (Very unique and private from the main house) Our other daughter with a friend, my husband and I had plenty of room in the main house. The amenities that were provided were well above our expectations. The location is beautiful. Waterfront on three sides. A small deck to watch the rise and another to watch the sun set. We ate almost every night in the outdoor kitchen. Only a 10 minute boat ride to the dock which is close to many activities. The owners were wonderful and very accommodating. We would definitely recommend this property to our friends/family."

  • Just perfect

"I cannot say enough good things about The Coop. I was totally worn out and needed a "reset" week in a bucolic setting. This place was just perfect. A lot of attention to detail was put into the design and building of this wonderfully intimate building, and it envelops you in a restful atmosphere immediately. There is a kitchen that has all the utensils and appliances one could want, plus many extras such as spices. The electric heater is available when needed; I stayed in mid-September and needed it a few times. Wireless connectivity is spotty, so I would not recommend this for anyone who will need to use the Internet a lot. This wasn't a problem for me, however, since the whole point of choosing this place was to get away from it all. I liked the excuse to not respond to work emails! There are games and books in a large cupboard, and Phyllis and Mitch have assembled a 3-ring binder with information about local places to eat, shop, hike, and visit. One of the tremendous assets of the location is that it is at the intersection of two dirt roads that offer excellent walking hikes (I've heard these referred to as "wikes"). It was great to roll out of bed and not have to drive to another place to get in a good bit of exercise. 100 feet away from The Coop you have the choice of which road to explore, and you are off. Both roads follow old stone walls and are through mature forests. I did 1.5 hour walks every day and seeing the sun dappling down through the canopy of trees was soothing to the soul. Phyllis and Mitch were available as resources yet also let me have complete privacy. They are definitely one (two) of the selling points for this property. I invited my wife up to join me at one point, and we decided that we will be coming back to The Coop at some point."
