"I stumbled across this house on the Internet and I am very glad I did. I was looking for a spacious home for our yearly family reunion. The house and location exceeded all my expectations. It comfortably fit 8 of us with several beds that were not used. The house is set back from the road in a beautiful area of New Hampshire. The dining room comfortably fit all of us for dinner every night. The kitchen had all the tools to cook dinner with room for several chefs. The rear deck and hot tub were a great place to unwind. Sunset Lake is gorgeous. The walk to the lake through the woods was always beautiful and at the end you find Sunset Lake. The dock is large enough for at least 8 people to relax on. The lake is clean and quiet. We'd spend our nights relaxing outside looking at the stars and listening to the loons.
I can't say enough good things about the house and location. The house was spotless upon our arrival. Within a reasonable drive is Wolfsboro and a little further out is Woodstock, so there is plenty to do if you want to get out.
Dick was very accommodating and even called us mid week to see how we were. We would absolutely rent this beautiful house from Dick again. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking to get away and spend a very relaxing week."

"We stayed at The Sandbar in June of 2015 with our children and grandchildren. The location was unbeatable, the lake views breathtaking, the home gorgeous and well appointed but with a cozy family feeling. It was a vacation reunion that my family cherished to the point that everyone is trying to arrange time off together to do a repeat next year if this home is available.
Dave was a great host - always reachable and helpful !!!!"

"Museum Lodges is a peaceful, cozy and charming place. My husband and I loved kayaking, relaxing and exploring. The people we met there were so warm, welcoming and friendly. Our friends visited us there and they loved the woodsy, lake-front location. Tom was very helpful and showed us everything upon our arrival. Museum Lodges is definitely a place we would revisit!"

"This house is fantastic. Period.
Every detail has been thought out. Everything you need and everything you want is here. There is plenty of room for lots of people and there's lots of spaces to sit with smaller groups and play games at night or watch a movie on a rainy day. The house is meticulously maintained, very clean and inviting. It's great to have 2 en-suite bedrooms, because sometimes your parents don't want to share a bathroom with your kids! The kitchen has everything you need to cook and serve a crowd. The ice-machine was wonderful to have! The main living space is open and spacious, and can open up to the screen porch, making it a great place for everyone to be together. The screen porch is always key at a lake house, and this one was perfect. TVs in all the rooms made my kids happy, and the basement was well used, with the Wii and ping pong table. Outside, there was something for everyone. SUPs and kayaks and the canoe, all in perfect working order, with life jackets to fit everyone. The shed was filled with water toys for the smaller kids. There was simply nothing missing! The beach area was well maintained with plenty of chairs, and the fire pit was great. We were out there every night watching the beautiful sunsets and roasting marshmallows. Even the neighbors were lovely.
Our experience with the owner, Andy, was also fantastic. He was very responsive from our first inquiry to the day we left. He stopped by to introduce himself on our second day to make sure we were happy with everything and to answer any questions we may have had. He's a super nice guy.
This area of the lake is our favorite. It's quiet and peaceful without being too remote. The shops and restaurants in Merideth are just a short drive away, so there's never a dull moment, even if the weather doesn't cooperate. So many places we didn't even get a chance to check out, we can't wait to go back. This was a completely fantastic vacation spot! Highly recommend!! Thank you, Andy!"
