"I stayed at this cottage with 4 friends over 4th of July weekend and it was exactly what I thought it would be: charming, rustic, with beach access and in a great location right in the heart of Weirs by the boardwalk. The owner was responsive and great to work with. We knew exactly what to expect and even got a positive surprise with more bedding/towels/beach toys available for use than we thought. The experience was pretty perfect. The only criticism would be that the private beach area isn't as large as I thought it would be, but still plenty of room to lay out and once you're in the water, the lake is huge and obviously all yours!!! Would definitely recommend this property for someone looking for a charming cottage for a weekend getaway!"

"We stayed at this house the first week of August. We had an amazing time. We were pleasantly surprised by how big the house was. It was the perfect location for our families, we had a grandparent, and two families with 5 kids. The oldest was 8. The steps into the lake was absolutely perfect for swimming. Donna was very responsive to questions we had and checked in during the week to see how we were doing. We recommend this house to anyone that wants a big house for a fun family vacation!"

"This property is simply fantastic, We have used HomeAway about 10 times for vacations, and this is definitely our favorite one so far. The lot is the best you could ask for. The sandy beach has a very gentle slope so you can dip your feet into the clean water or slowly go in deeper. There is a dock, and a grassy yard with a firepit. It is incredibly private. There is a fence on one side and tons of trees and bushes on the other side, so you are not on top of your neighbors, like most places. There is also a huge deck and two patio sets so you could sit 10 for dinner out there. We used the two kayaks every day to paddle around the lake, and it was beautiful. We tried the paddle boat too, but the kayaks are more fun.
Inside, the house is open concept with high ceilings and large rooms. We like to cook, and there was every kitchen tool and pan you would ever need. Plus a dishwasher, which is unusual for a lake rental. The house is super clean and neat. We were able to easily hook up our laptop to the TV to watch some Netflix, plus there is a dvd player to watch movies (there is a Redbox about 10 minutes away). The owneres really have thought of everything. We went to Dantes one night, which is a fantastic Italian restaurant nearby. We also went to Smokey Goodness Pub for some great barbecue one night. But our favorite thing to do was just sit on the deck or in the living room and look out at the lake and relax.
I HIGHLY recommend this house, it is exactly what we wanted in a relaxing lake house. I wish we didn't have to leave!"

"My family and I stayed at Stillwater Cottage and had a wonderful time. The house was perfect for our needs - we have two young children (8 and 5) - and fully comfortable. Full kitchen (we cooked most of our meals), grill, screened-in porch, comfortable furniture and beds - it was honestly like home in a different location. We didn't feel the need to drive very far, because most of the activities we wanted to do were nearby. We fished off the dock - kids caught their first fish! - kayaked, and swam. We lit a fire and ate smores. We picked blueberries. We didn't feel rushed because everything we wanted to do was pretty close - we went as far as Moultonborough to see the Loon Preservation Committee Museum, but could have gone further had we not been satisfied with swimming and kayaking. The Squam Lakes Science Center, only a few minutes away, is a awesome - even for adults! Great house for families with young children!"
