"Camp Penowee is very large with a separate 'schoolhouse' where three grandsons (16, 14 and 12) stayed. They enjoyed the independence and the pool table, darts and other games. The large covered porch is ideal for family dining and the rockers and hammocks for relaxing and enjoying the view of the lake. The cove is very quiet and we were thrilled to have several bald eagle sightings and many photo ops with loons and their baby chicks. The boys made good use of the swim/dive platform as well as the kayak. We had family movie night almost every night, along with chess matches and cribbage games. All three generations had a wonderful family vacation with plenty of room to spare at this traditional lake camp."

"We had a lovely and relaxing week at this waterfront home on a lake that my family and I now call a "hidden gem". My parents, my brother and I all came from different cities and spent the week together here and it was everything we needed and more. The location was great, especially when driving from the Boston area (easy trip) and the house had privacy, quiet and all the amenities one would need. And the lakefront view was amazing. Brian and Nancy (owners) were very helpful and we arrived knowing everything we needed to know... and they were reachable all week if needed. My father has some trouble getting around and this house was perfect for him, with ramp access to the house and lake and a bedroom/bath on the ground floor. I hope we are able to stay here again next summer and highly recommend the property. What a great vacation!!"

"To celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary, we decided to invite our children and grandchildren up to the lake for a week's vacation. The house was so reminiscent of long past summers spent at the lake with our children (now grown) and delighted the grandchildren. There are so many places for everyone to spread out, it never seemed crowded. The waterfront was great and renting a boat so the children could water ski and tube was perfect. The kayaks were in constant use as was the raft. Wolfeboro is just up the road. The view is so peaceful and beautiful. The house had everything you needed and the fireplace and Mr. Moose were an added extra! Our family really got a chance to relax and reconnect. It was a vacation to treasure and remember. We hope to do it again! We highly recommend it."

"My Boyfriend and I rented out this property for a long weekend for our 3 year anniversary. It was perfect! Very peaceful, and relaxing. Close to grocery shopping which made it easy to cook our own meals on the grill. The home was big without feeling too big for just two people. Only hiccup was the shower in the main bedroom's bathroom wouldn't get hot, but we figured that was more user error then a property issue. We would absolutely go back, we're already talking about if it's possible before the end of the summer!"
