"My husband and I spent a week in this lovely lake house on beautiful Lake Winona.
The house is exactly as pictured. It was clean and comfortable.
The lake is pristine. I was amazed how clean the water was.
We were looking for peace and quiet and this home was just what we hoped for. Early morning looking out at the lake and hearing the loons was wonderful. We would occasionally see people paddling by in kayaks or canoes. Very quiet.
Jet skis are not allowed on the lake and the few motor boats that did pass us on our canoeing adventures were very respectful.
One night we were surprised to see a float plane go right past the house and land on the lake and a bit later seeing it take off!
While this home is peacefully tucked on the lake, it is an easy drive to the area highlights. You can find everything you need right in Ashland but if for some crazy reason you really needed to go to walmart, it isn't very far.
The owners provided all the information we needed and they were spot on with their restaurant recommendations.
It was a fantastic week on Lake Winona and if possible we would definitely rent this home again."

"The cabin and guest house were perfect. They were in a secluded location that was very peaceful and relaxing. We hiked Mt. Major on Saturday and it was only a short drive away. The dock was great to go down to and get an even broader view of the lake. The kitchen had plenty of pans and utensils to cook with however there was a need to make a stop during the trip to grab paper towels and hand soap for the bathrooms. All in all it was a perfect location and a warm welcoming home. We plan on going back!"

"If I say how much we enjoyed this place it won't be available for us to rent next year.
All of us were so thrilled with the clean and relatively warm water, great dock and raft to swim to. The house is very large, five bedrooms instead of the four listed. A wonderful dining table for all of us board players. Kitchen is huge and very well equipped. The location, so close to lovely Meredith, is excellent. Great walking town. There were tons of activities ;we almost welcomed a rainy day so that we wouldn't mind leaving that peaceful lake. And we did hear the loons sing. How thrilling! Good restaurants near by. I miss it already."

"This place was awesome and the pictures do not do it justice. Our group of friends (8 couples + 6 singles) all had a place to sleep and room to spread out, so we were very comfortable. I wish we could have stayed for more than the weekend!"
