"Overall, I personally enjoyed the stay, is peaceful, close to everything but is not for people with boats or want to be in the mix of things on a big lake.
-Very private area
-Fairly warm water
-Near restaurants and the tilton outlets
-Good for families that want privacy but not for partiers or people who have a boat that wants to be on the big lake.
Not the best but still OK:
- It is not connected to Lake Winnisquam it is on the cove that is technically on the lake but split between small trees. There is a few trails to get through to the actual lake. However, the water is very calm and great for swimming and playing in the water. It is what the title says "Cabin on the cove".
-The largest Epham cabin that is shown in the pictures where the others is not is adjacent to the Emerson cabin but the Thoreau cabin is across the street
-It is not the cabins fault but there is a lot of bugs outside and no way to keep them out of the house
-The cabin is a cabin it could be updated but still in decent condition
My recommendation is to go drive if you know the location to check out the cabins or areas before you book! The owner Steve is a very nice guy too!"

"My family of 12, including teens and a grandmom, recently spent a fantastic week at this classic Squam Lake camp. This was our first trip back to the lake in 16 years and the house and lake did not disappoint! The house came fully equipped with plenty of bedding, utensils, cookware and storage - including the largest frying pan I have ever seen! We had plenty of room to sprawl between the two buildings - a real plus when traveling with teenagers. The main room of the house is cozy yet feels very large due to the soaring wood ceilings. Our family had tons of fun on the lake and just as much fun in the evenings playing board games on the deck and looking through all the historic photos and mementos on display in the lodge. The dock and swim platform areas are in full sun all day, unlike other homes we looked into, allowing for plenty of swim time. We did rent a large pontoon boat in Little Squam and spend countless hours navigating the coves of the lake and we especially loved revisiting "jumping rock" in Rattlesnake Cove which included a visit by the ice cream boat! The last night of our trip was spent enjoying the camp's DVD of "On Golden Pond", which was something really special. All in all, a fantastic family trip. I highly recommend this property if you are looking for a classic Squam Lake experience."

"We stayed in the cottage with our children aged 5,6 and 8. We had a wonderful time. The playground is across the 10mph street, the nice sandy beach a 2 min walk away. The children did not want to leave the park.. Surprisingly few bugs."

"My husband and I loved our getaway to Lake Winisquam and this apartment was perfect. Tidy, well cared for and well equipped. The apartment has lots of homey touches. The views from the apartment and the dock were great. Swimming was wonderful as was paddling around in kayaks. Our hosts were very friendly and whenever we had a question, they were so helpful and we also had sufficient privacy. Next year we look forward to coming back and staying longer!"
