  • A Great Place to Stay

"A group of 10 former Peace Corps volunteers from around the country gathered in Winter Harbor for a week long reunion. The house was just the perfect place to spend time reminiscing, relaxing and sightseeing. The views from the large deck are spectacular and hanging out on the dock made for a relaxing afternoons. The location is great, with easy access to Wolfeboro, the villages around Lake Winnepasaukee and the White Mountains. The house has plenty of room for ten or more and has a wonderful New England lake house feel to it. The kitchen was stocked with every imaginable utensil and then more. There's a great fireplace to keep the chill off in the very large living room. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable with great views of the lake. Overall, it more than met out needs and expectations and I feel comfortable in recommending it as a place to stay."

  • Perfection

"Our extended family, made up of six adults and two toddlers, spent a magical long weekend at this idyllic property in October. It was our first trip to Lake Winnipesaukee; and now we can't wait to return. Upon arrival at the property, we were overwhelmed with excitement and a total sense of relaxation. A guest could not ask for more in terms of the design and attention to detail, both inside and outside of the house. Over the course of the weekend, we lounged by the fire in the cozy living room; prepared and shared meals in the open kitchen & dining room; toured the lake; relaxed on the perfect front porch; introduced the babies to their first-ever s'mores in the incredible outdoor fire pit; admired the beautiful New England foliage and sunsets from the beach area; and explored the woods behind the house (even building our own teepee...see if you can find it on your next visit!). If you are seeking a rustic, quiet, relaxing getaway to recharge your family's batteries, without giving up any of the modern comforts that you love from home (i.e. fully appointed kitchen, strong wifi, great sound system, directv, etc.), then this property is where you want to go. The only down side is when it comes time to leave!"

  • Great Property

"We stayed for 2 weeks in July 2014 with our 3 children, girls ages 14 and 15 and our son age 12. We also had our 6-year old dog along with us. The property exceeded our expectations in every way. For boaters the boathouse and dock set up is superb. Deep water access for more than 1 boat and you can store your boating essentials inside the boathouse. The beds and futons were all comfortable - plenty of room for us and our occasional guests. My wife took walks every day with our dog along the several marked trails on the Island. The swimming out front with sandy shallow access and the available swim raft made the house a destination unto itself. Nights out on the dock and boathouse deck were beautiful and quiet. The owners were very accomodating and great with answering any questions we had in advance or during our stay. We have rented on and near the lake off and on since 2000 and this was our best vacation yet."
