"This place is what you imagine when you think of a lakeside retreat: a winding dirt road through the woods, a homey wood cabin with history in the walls, the sounds of the waves lapping on the shore outside your door. The owners were very accomodating about squeezing us in as a last minute replacement for a cancellation, and very friendly and helpful in our communications throughout. (Though they're so well-versed in renting this out, that there really isn't much need to get in touch once you're there.) You're well out of the way, but it's just a ten minute drive back to the heart of Wolfeboro village. There's a private, sandy crescent beach, with a wade out through a sandy cove, and water clear to the bottom even as you swim out to the platform. You're tucked in a nook midway up the eastern shore of the lake, with sun all afternoon and fantastic sunsets over the water. The kitchen is well supplied, and we cooked lunch and dinner on the grill almost every day. The family history is evident all around inside, with old pictures of the construction, knickknacks, driftwood discoveries and more peppered throughout the house; but you don't feel like an intruder, you feel like a welcome guest."

Picturesque, heavenly, very accommodating, cozy and relaxing!
"If you're looking to relax and forget the rest of the world, this cottage is perfect! The cottage has been updated, but still maintains the original look and feel of the knotty-pine Winnipesaukee cottages of the past. The path to the dock is very natural, and the sandy area is a great place to have your morning coffee. We did a lot of kayaking around the area coves, swam everyday, fished and in the late afternoon just hung out on tubes while floating around the cove. In the evening the deck was the perfect place for grilling and eating outside at the picnic table, with a fabulous view of the mountains. The porch was great for breakfast, or later evening board games. We saw lots of loons, (two right near the dock), an eagle, hummingbirds and caught fish as well! The dock is my favorite spot for reading, or diving off for a good swim! We'll be back and are so happy to have found a little piece of paradise!"

"This Wolfeboro lake property provided the perfect venue for our extended weekend gathering of family and friends. Lake Winnipesaukee is one of our all time favorite vacation spots and we were very fortunate that this lakeside compound was available for our dates! We had ample room for all guests due to the 3 bedroom mainhouse (for the younger group) and adorable bunk house (for the early-to-bed senior set). Both buildings offered a kitchen. The expansive deck overlooking Winter Harbor Bay became "the place" for socializing. We rented a pontoon boat one day and the dock definitely came in handy.
A highlight of our stay was the fabulous nightime campfire, complete with marshmellows and s'mores.
We rented at the end of the season and needed to call the property manager for a couple of supplies that were running low. He was very professional, polite and quick to bring what we needed, so no problem there!
The only thing I could recommend is adding a toaster for the bunkhouse unit.
Perhaps there will be one when we return for another stay next summer! Thank you, Valerie:)"

"We had the most relaxing vacation in this beautiful home on Sunset Lake. That's not easy to do with five children three and under! It was everything we were looking for and more - most importantly with its own, private beach and dock and enough living space to accommodate two families. The owners are lovely and very helpful. We hope it won't be too long before we can return!"
