"My teenage son, his friend, and I enjoyed a week at Pocumtuck in June -- we wished we could have stayed longer/forever! This comfortable lake house was perfectly situated in a quiet cove with a wonderful, protected sandy beach area that would be perfect for smaller children. The dock, swimming raft, and deck overlooking the lake were favorite spots, as was the screened sleeping porch. Beautiful sunset views! It is on the "rustic" side, but everything you need for a wonderful vacation is here, in a way that makes you feel like you have stepped back into a quieter, more civilized time. Appliances were new and in excellent working order. We used the wifi but seldom felt the need to tune into the news of the larger world, so happy were we with our little life on the lake. We loved the historical touches throughout the house, which made us feel part of the family and the overall story. A nesting pair of loons and an occasional visit from a murder of crows added to the happy ambience and our contentment. This is a camp that is conducive to lounging, reading, doing puzzles, playing board/card games and doing what people used to do before tv and computers. We didn't want to leave, and we will be back -- hopefully for longer than a week next time!"

"We had a great time. The house was right on the lake and located in a calm area with a dock we could easily dock our 23' boat at. The main house had a nice sizable deck with both a charcoal and propane grill and small backyard that had a fire-pit and hammock. The inside was spacious with plenty of beds and bathrooms. The guesthouse was recently renovated and had its own kitchen and fridge as well. Hoping to visit again next year."

"My family had a wonderful week at this house. The house has many large windows with skylights. The owner was very responsive to emails and made sure we had all the information we needed for a wonderful stay. I recommend that you rent a boat to enjoy the beautiful lake and its many attractions. Plenty of room for all. We would definitely come back for another week."

"To celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary, we decided to invite our children and grandchildren up to the lake for a week's vacation. The house was so reminiscent of long past summers spent at the lake with our children (now grown) and delighted the grandchildren. There are so many places for everyone to spread out, it never seemed crowded. The waterfront was great and renting a boat so the children could water ski and tube was perfect. The kayaks were in constant use as was the raft. Wolfeboro is just up the road. The view is so peaceful and beautiful. The house had everything you needed and the fireplace and Mr. Moose were an added extra! Our family really got a chance to relax and reconnect. It was a vacation to treasure and remember. We hope to do it again! We highly recommend it."
