  • Will miss it!

"Here it is several months after our visit and I happened to look back at this glorious vacation home with fond memories and disappointment that we won't be able to return next year due to our schedules. The home is aptly described by others and represented in the photos, but the memories that this place has provided to all of us are ALMOST as heavenly as the total fun and relaxation of having experienced it. I had my three daughters ages 20-28, son-in-law, 8 mo. grandson and a beau as well as other 20 something friends who visited for an overnight or two. Renting a boat for skiing and tubing from Trexler's marina helped make it a bit more adventuresome, but the kayaks and paddle board were used just as much for fishing and exploration. The wonderful openness of the home and being able to have meals out on the porch with such beautiful scenery and calm put everyone in a stress free and happy state of mind - even with an 8 month old who was seemingly as delighted with the place as we all were. The "release" that this place provides is simply beyond what you might imagine. There is even that temptation to write a scathing review of the place to keep others away in case we can manage it in 2015, but view this as a public service. And yes, the owners are great too and soooo very easy to deal with and accomodating and appreciative. Enjoy your time you 2014 occupants!"

  • Perfect Family Vacation

"I loved the location and the house, it was perfect for my family of ten. I was able to watch the sunrise every morning from several rooms in the house as well as the deck. The boat dock and private beach were a plus. The water was shallow enough for the small children and crystal clear. The kitchen was fully equipped and had everything we needed. We also loved the unexpected small firepit, the kids loving making smore's. Local restaurants and convenience stores are within a couple of miles. I would stay here again and definitely recommend the property to anyone."

  • Lake vacation

"We had a great time on our lake vacation! My family came from NJ to enjoy kayaking, biking, jet skiing. One guest arrived late at night, and when he woke and walked onto the deck simply said, "This is heaven". We found the house well kept and as photoed. Evenings with campfires were my favorite. We especially enjoyed the quiet location. I would definitely look for this property again for a rental."

  • Winter Fun

"We had so much fun staying at the log cabin this February. There was 10 of us and my two miniature dachshunds. The log cabin was beautifully decorated, very comfortable and plenty of room for everyone to spread out. We took the kids snowboarding/skiing at Cranmore Mt. in Conway NH which was about an hour away, but a good Mt. for their level of expertise. After our time at Cranmore, we decided to enjoy a meal at Buckey's on Rte.109 about 5 min. from the cabin. The restaurant was a cute place with a pool table in the back and had a lot of options for an enjoyable casual dining experience. The following day we went to the sledding hill which is located across from the clubhouse up the main road of the development. The kids had a blast sledding down this good sized hill, and my sisters and I even took a turn on the sleds we brought. My nephew and sister had shoveled their way to the fire pit in the back yard of the cabin using the kids shovels that were available to use at the cabin (a real shovel or two would have been better to have). It was great to have a nice warm fire pit going for the kids to enjoy some S'mores after sledding. The owners were great to work with and very accommodating. Overall, we had a great time staying here and we would definitely rent this log cabin from them again."
