"We stayed at The Sandbar in June of 2015 with our children and grandchildren. The location was unbeatable, the lake views breathtaking, the home gorgeous and well appointed but with a cozy family feeling. It was a vacation reunion that my family cherished to the point that everyone is trying to arrange time off together to do a repeat next year if this home is available.
Dave was a great host - always reachable and helpful !!!!"

"I stumbled across this house on the Internet and I am very glad I did. I was looking for a spacious home for our yearly family reunion. The house and location exceeded all my expectations. It comfortably fit 8 of us with several beds that were not used. The house is set back from the road in a beautiful area of New Hampshire. The dining room comfortably fit all of us for dinner every night. The kitchen had all the tools to cook dinner with room for several chefs. The rear deck and hot tub were a great place to unwind. Sunset Lake is gorgeous. The walk to the lake through the woods was always beautiful and at the end you find Sunset Lake. The dock is large enough for at least 8 people to relax on. The lake is clean and quiet. We'd spend our nights relaxing outside looking at the stars and listening to the loons.
I can't say enough good things about the house and location. The house was spotless upon our arrival. Within a reasonable drive is Wolfsboro and a little further out is Woodstock, so there is plenty to do if you want to get out.
Dick was very accommodating and even called us mid week to see how we were. We would absolutely rent this beautiful house from Dick again. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking to get away and spend a very relaxing week."

"What a fantastic week! This house is beautiful. Pictures don't do it justice! It was so clean and comfortable with many amentities. We stayed with another family, kids ranging in ages from 4-15.
There is something for everyone.
We enjoyed days spent relaxing by the beautiful lake. There were no shortage of stuff to do! Fishing, boating and swimming made the days great!
Ken, the owner left us very detailed information about any questions we might have and made himself available to answer any questions we had.
We highly recommend this house and are looking forward to returning next year!!"

"My teenage son, his friend, and I enjoyed a week at Pocumtuck in June -- we wished we could have stayed longer/forever! This comfortable lake house was perfectly situated in a quiet cove with a wonderful, protected sandy beach area that would be perfect for smaller children. The dock, swimming raft, and deck overlooking the lake were favorite spots, as was the screened sleeping porch. Beautiful sunset views! It is on the "rustic" side, but everything you need for a wonderful vacation is here, in a way that makes you feel like you have stepped back into a quieter, more civilized time. Appliances were new and in excellent working order. We used the wifi but seldom felt the need to tune into the news of the larger world, so happy were we with our little life on the lake. We loved the historical touches throughout the house, which made us feel part of the family and the overall story. A nesting pair of loons and an occasional visit from a murder of crows added to the happy ambience and our contentment. This is a camp that is conducive to lounging, reading, doing puzzles, playing board/card games and doing what people used to do before tv and computers. We didn't want to leave, and we will be back -- hopefully for longer than a week next time!"
