  • Pictures do not do it justice. A real gem

"House is bigger than pictures depict. Two full baths, large kitchen and great owners. We have rented three straight years and cannot wait to go back again next summer. You will not be disappointed. Good price too."

  • Meredith Lake House Rental

"My wife and I highly recommend renting this lake house. Here are the reasons we find this rental so attractive. The location is ideal because it is located in a cove which means you do not get pounded by the waves created from both high boat traffic and winds blowing across the large open areas of the lake. The lake house is also located on the sunny side of the lake. You do not get direct morning sunlight but you do get to enjoy the warm summer sun all day to include some amazing sunsets! If you have a boat the location is to your advantage as well. You are located minutes away from Weirs Beach, Naswa Resort and the Meredith town docks. This is great for short boat rides with family or friends to do shopping, choose from a large selection of restaurants or just taking the kids out for ice cream. If boating is not for you then driving is also minutes away to these locations. No need to bring a weeks worth of food, there is a supermarket just a few miles away for keeping dinner menu options open. The beach front is perfect for families with small children. It has a nice swimming area right next to the deck so you can keep an eye on the kids while you relax with friends. It is not the typical mansion that sleeps twenty but we are a family of five and the kids typically bring a friend and there is plenty of room for sleeping. Our days are spent outside, not inside. If it rains there are fun options to keep the kids busy just a minutes from this location. Places like Funspot, Weirs Beach, Monkey Trunks, go-karts, candy store, movie theatre and plenty of shopping in Meredith for the grown-ups. Parking is a little limited and there are neighbors that you will need to be respectful of but they are all friendly. The main road is a dead end which is great for low traffic and walks with loved ones. The cove is very accommodating to kayaking on those quiet mornings or a late afternoon paddle. You will have to share the water with the loons that live there. Lastly the owners, they are wonderful people that are easy to work with. I hope this review helps with your decision on renting a lake house."

  • Wonderful Vacation & Wonderful Owners

"This summer (2014) was our second time at the house. New Hampshire is beautiful; this house is fabulous. The yard is generous and well-maintained. View of mountains is magnificent. Last summer (2013), the house almost felt too big for us. This summer, we invited family, including my sister and brother-in-law and their children. My sister's family came with their dog. The space worked perfectly. It is an old house--the older portion of the house is very old (like 18th century-old!). The space is interesting--it does not have big, great and open rooms. Instead, it has a couple of large rooms and many small rooms. We found that the children enjoyed the small rooms--the room with the air hockey game, the room with the foosball game, and the small reading room off the master bathroom. There was space for all. Children, teens, adults, and dog. We all enjoyed being in the yar--the kids played constantly and the adults sat outside and read, talked and enjoyed teh beautiful grounds. There is no internet connection at the house (which was a welcome change even if some had withdrawal...); Smart phones with WIfi phones worked decently, and we loved the Tuftonboro and Wolfeboro public libraries (quiet, free internet, great to get work done when needed). Small public beach is 3 miles away (some of us ran there or did regular 3-4 mile runs on the streets of Tuftonboro). Beach has nice space for swimming (including lap swimming), a lifeguard until 5pm, covered eating area, and is not heavily populated. Pier 19 Grocer is across the street--Chester's Fried Chicken at the beach was a favorite! Nearby: Wolfeboro (beautiful), Moultonboro (we ate many good meals at The Village Kitchen on Rt 25 (free WIFI, open @6AM!)), nice hikes--Castle in Clouds (multiple), Red Hill; great ice cream (generous scoops!) @Bailey's Bubble (both locations) & Flurries (Meredith). The house is perfect for a group and great for children; it's not fancy and precious, but old, lived in & comfortable. As a mother of energetic children, I never worried that the kids would break anything. Lisa and Rick, the owners, are EXCEPTIONAL. They get customer service. Lisa is responsive and thoughtful. This summer, the dryer broke shortly after we arrived. Within hours, Rick had someone look at it and then, a few hours later, came to the house with a brand new, industrial-sized dryer. He removed the old one, installed the new one, and we never had another dryer problem! I highly recommend this house to anyone."
