  • Great Amenities

"Love the view and quick walk across the street to the beach. Plenty of lounge chairs, BBQs and a huge box of beach toys for the kids. The indoor pool / hot tub is in a beautifully-lit huge room with comfortable couches and tables. And the free wifi in the room works well. The big problem is the pull-out couch. I'll expand on a previous reviewer: the matress isn't just poor, the whole thing is plain broken. The fabric support is mostly ripped off the surrounding frame, so you end up slumped between the remaining springs that work, jammed with the bar in the middle. Even my 7 and 10-year olds felt terrible and slept on the floor. Bottom line: the place is excellent for two (sleeping on the main Murphy bed), and still great if your kids don't mind sleeping on the floor (mine are used to camping). The owner has been very accommodating and I hope will fix it for future guests, but meanwhile sleeping in beds is just for two."

  • Quaint, quiet, relaxing vacation spot

"Good sized roomy cottage with great cell service, free wifi and local use of a telephone. Lots of fresh blueberries (called whortleberries) were available for picking. Ducks and loons all around. Quiet enough to hear the loon calls morning and night. Spectacular views of mountain, islands and lake area. Dock that has protective rubber to protect your boat. Nature walks around the house showcased coral sticks and indian pipe plants which are usually seen only in natural settings. Safe place for kids, adults and/or families with games, puzzles and loads of VCR and DVDs for rainy days. We enjoyed our entire week!"

  • A Great Place to Stay

"A group of 10 former Peace Corps volunteers from around the country gathered in Winter Harbor for a week long reunion. The house was just the perfect place to spend time reminiscing, relaxing and sightseeing. The views from the large deck are spectacular and hanging out on the dock made for a relaxing afternoons. The location is great, with easy access to Wolfeboro, the villages around Lake Winnepasaukee and the White Mountains. The house has plenty of room for ten or more and has a wonderful New England lake house feel to it. The kitchen was stocked with every imaginable utensil and then more. There's a great fireplace to keep the chill off in the very large living room. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable with great views of the lake. Overall, it more than met out needs and expectations and I feel comfortable in recommending it as a place to stay."

  • Comfortable cottage

"The cottage was nicely laid out and accommodated a larger group without a problem. I loved the beach and the other people in the cottages that shared the property were all friendly and made us feel welcome."
