"My family of 6 + 1 toddler + 1 beagle had an amazing stay at the Keatings house. We couldnt have asked for better place to stay, it had a perfect treehouse with full and twin bunk, separate outdoor shower and bathroom. The main house is beautiful woodwork construction with bedrooms in back. The house is very comfortable, the outside kitchen is perfect all week to grill out. The land around the house consists of basically the whole south side of the island! its amazing to walk down the groomed paths to each side of the island with multiple areas to get into water. My beagle loved running around sniffing all over. It was an great place to be! Id say only drawbacks is there is no sandy area for toddler (i was ok as adult) and the water does whip up at times with the wind pushing from east. If you are looking for private island getaway and enjoy the peace and quiet this is the place."

"Our family of 4 booked this beautiful home way back in the winter and we thought all spring and summer about our week at Alton Bay. When it finally arrived we had a great week of weather and the house was incredible. Very roomy and well equipped, the only thing we should have brought were our pillows as the down pillows seemed flat. The multiple decks, ah the decks-I can't say how many hours I sat out there, and 3 kayaks were used everyday even though we rented a 23' pontoon boat for the week, which fit nicely at the dock. We had company several days and the most in the house on one day was 11 and the house as large as it is still never felt cramped or congested. My husband fell in love with the wooden sculpture high up on the living room wall, he wants to know where you got it. We only turned the TV's on 2 nights (one night to watch the Patriots' play :)) and Tuesday the only day it rained a bit. We used the gas grill several evenings to cook and 1 night we even used the gas fire to ward off a chill in the evening air. We played games and 45's every night, we brought our own. All the games in the home seemed like they were missing a piece or a card- it would be nice if guests treated the game area with care.
Mount Major is just 1.5miles up the road and a great hike and incredible views from the top. We went to Shibley's for lunch and Pop's Clam Shell for dinner, both great spots to eat. This is a tremendous house in a tranquil cove. We truly enjoyed this very relaxing week and thank Brian and his family for opening up their doors to their well crafted home."

"We have been coming to the Lake Winnipesaukee area for may years. We have never found a lake house that checked all our boxes! Until this year! Bob and Donna's lake house was so comfortable for our family. The view is fabulous. We loved that it had a level yard and grass to play games. The way the house faces is perfect, sun when you want it and shade when you don't! Crystal clean water and the water trampoline was an added bonus for all. Other than the kitchen being dated and the carpet in the bedrooms (carpet was clean I just don't like carpet!) the house was perfect! Very spacious living area and dining area and the most comfortable beds we ever slept on! The cottage was a bonus for my grown children and the outdoor shower was refreshing. The kids loved the ping pong table and had a great time hanging out in the evenings around the fire pit. Bob and Donna were very accommodating and we hope to get the chance to return next summer!!"

"Just back from a very relaxing refreshing vacation with most of our family, 6 adults and 6 kids in their teens. We brought our canoe and kayaks and found them very easy to launch from the docks. One dock has deep enough water for diving. We cooked and ate outside almost every day and enjoyed the sound of the water lapping the shore. The property was very clean when we arrived, and we slept comfortably at night. Kids also biked and swam a lot. Wireless works best in the middle house. The only issue we found would be easy to fix - some of the screen doors need to be repaired/replaced. Otherwise, we were comfortable and had a lot of fun!
