  • One wonderful week at Lake Winnipesaukee

"We rented this cottage two weeks ago and it was fabulous. Very clean, very well furnished and the owner was very friendly and very concerned about the comfort of his tenants. We have stayed in many cottages over the years and this was the best by far. The listing is accurate regarding location, the listing photos accurately reflect the rental's appearance and amenities. The owner is very generous - a nice gas grill, fire pit, many floats and chairs available for your use on the dock plus the use of his two kayaks, The Pine Cove restaurant which isn't far from cottage is excellent. Very quiet area."

  • Lake vacation

"We had a great time on our lake vacation! My family came from NJ to enjoy kayaking, biking, jet skiing. One guest arrived late at night, and when he woke and walked onto the deck simply said, "This is heaven". We found the house well kept and as photoed. Evenings with campfires were my favorite. We especially enjoyed the quiet location. I would definitely look for this property again for a rental."

  • Wonderful Vacation Home

"This was an amazing spot on the lake. The cove was perfect for waterskiing/ tubing and kayaking. We also rented a water trampoline which was a big hit with the teens in our group. The house was rustic and very comfortable. It has so much character and charm. Even with 9 people we had lots of room. Since it was lakeside living there wasn't even a problem only having one shower. The kitchen was well stocked and we even found s'more skewers. We had fun using the games and puzzles in the evenings. I would highly recommend this vacation home."

  • Great family lake vacation

"We (my husband and I, our four-year-old daughter and seven-year-old son) just returned from our trip, and my son has already said he wants to go back because it was the best vacation ever. We spend much of our time on a lake vacation swimming, and as a glacial lake, Lake Winnipesaukee is ideal. You can see at least ten feet down, it is cool, but not too cold in the summer, and the bottom is sand and smooth stones, not mud or stumps. This house is on Winter Harbor, and the views of the lake from the porch are beautiful. You can swim (or canoe, kayak, etc) off the tiny dock at the bottom of the steps or walk just a few extra yards to the beach. We enjoyed that it's a shared beach. It is used by just the owners/renters of the houses nearby, so it is sometimes empty and sometimes not but never feels crowded. There were often a few other children around. The water gets deeper very gradually for quite a ways out so is great for beginner swimmers, and past the breakwater, it gets deep pretty quickly and a swim dock is anchored a little way out that is fun to jump off. We all played in the sand and in the water for hours. My son thought the swim dock was the greatest thing ever, and my daughter had no problem paddling around the swimming area. The house was clean and had a roomy kitchen/living area with windows all around for a great view of the lake even from inside, and the owner was responsive and pleasant when we had questions. Another nice feature of this location is that the house is just a mile or two from downtown Wolfeboro, which is a big enough town that grocery shopping is nearby and there are a few little restaurants in town if you don't want to cook. The Yum Yum Shop downtown also has wonderful breads, pastries and cookies. We plan to rent this house again!"
