"Our stay at this private condo across the street from barefoot beach was as advertised. Great location. Great amenities both within the condo (full kitchen) as well as the community (pool/sauna/hot tub). It's only 2 hours North of Boston. You can swim, kayak and hike. You can take a sunset cruise. One morning we got in the car and drove just another hour North to explore the White Mountains for the day. The view from the balcony was just too inviting not to. We booked our long weekend to Misty Harbor last minute and the owner was very accommodating and helpful. I would highly recommend this rental."

"I stumbled across this house on the Internet and I am very glad I did. I was looking for a spacious home for our yearly family reunion. The house and location exceeded all my expectations. It comfortably fit 8 of us with several beds that were not used. The house is set back from the road in a beautiful area of New Hampshire. The dining room comfortably fit all of us for dinner every night. The kitchen had all the tools to cook dinner with room for several chefs. The rear deck and hot tub were a great place to unwind. Sunset Lake is gorgeous. The walk to the lake through the woods was always beautiful and at the end you find Sunset Lake. The dock is large enough for at least 8 people to relax on. The lake is clean and quiet. We'd spend our nights relaxing outside looking at the stars and listening to the loons.
I can't say enough good things about the house and location. The house was spotless upon our arrival. Within a reasonable drive is Wolfsboro and a little further out is Woodstock, so there is plenty to do if you want to get out.
Dick was very accommodating and even called us mid week to see how we were. We would absolutely rent this beautiful house from Dick again. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking to get away and spend a very relaxing week."

"We had a fantastic week at this cottage - both when the weather was sunny and rainy. It was well provisioned - had everything we needed to enjoy a quiet week and the owners were friendly and welcoming. The dogs LOVED the yard and the peninsula (so did our 11-yr old son, and our nephews when they visited for a day), and we enjoyed everything about the place. Coffee in the morning on the peninsula, using our paddleboard and inflatable kayak off the dock, reading and cards inside on rainy days, walking down to the general store for ice cream, smores around the firepit at night. The local general store is friendly and has everything you could ask for in terms of provisions, and when you don't want to cook, the Poor People's Pub is walkable and yummy for good food. The lake was quiet and beautiful - we saw and heard lots of loons, and enjoyed checking out a pair of bald eagles who spent a lot of time on the lake - we saw them a lot paddleboarding, and even got to see the female swoop down and grab a fish within about 50 feet of us one day. Couldn't have asked for a better week and lovely place to stay. We look forward to our stay next summer!"

"We spent a lovely post Labor Day week at this lakeside house. It was very quiet and peaceful. We had a couple of amazing sunrises. The house is very comfortable and well appointed. We ate most of our meals on the deck. Coffee (or beer) on the private dock was also a highlight. The boat traffic was a little noisy on the weekend, but during the week it is remarkably quiet. (I was told that the boat traffic was not too bad during the week in the summer, as well). The two kayaks saw much use! There are two bathrooms and lots of comfortable sleeping options. It's very reasonably priced and we would definitely go back."
