"We rented this house because we had to attend a wedding at moody mountain farm and this lake house exceeded all of our expectations. The house was big enough for all of us and the lake was absolutely breathtaking!! The owner was so nice and accommodating. If you're looking for a nice weekend getaway, you're definitely not going to be disappointed with this place! Thank you for letting us borrow your home! We might've found our annual "friends getaway" lake house for next summer!"

"Secluded, well kept property with plenty of space. Wife and I and our 2 dogs had a most relaxing long weekend here. Brought my own little fishing boat. Docks are sturdy and well placed. House has all the amenities-(felt like home having a Keureg)-gas grill, big screen HD tv, pre-cut and seasoned wood onsite for fires. Caretaker across street couldn't have been nicer-did not need them-but was comforting knowing they would be available and approachable if we did. Smooth transactions with owner, good communication. Will return if we can get away again. Dogs loved it!!, lots of room to run!"

"We had a fantastic week at this cottage - both when the weather was sunny and rainy. It was well provisioned - had everything we needed to enjoy a quiet week and the owners were friendly and welcoming. The dogs LOVED the yard and the peninsula (so did our 11-yr old son, and our nephews when they visited for a day), and we enjoyed everything about the place. Coffee in the morning on the peninsula, using our paddleboard and inflatable kayak off the dock, reading and cards inside on rainy days, walking down to the general store for ice cream, smores around the firepit at night. The local general store is friendly and has everything you could ask for in terms of provisions, and when you don't want to cook, the Poor People's Pub is walkable and yummy for good food. The lake was quiet and beautiful - we saw and heard lots of loons, and enjoyed checking out a pair of bald eagles who spent a lot of time on the lake - we saw them a lot paddleboarding, and even got to see the female swoop down and grab a fish within about 50 feet of us one day. Couldn't have asked for a better week and lovely place to stay. We look forward to our stay next summer!"

"We were 3 generations staying in this lovely, cozy cottage RIGHT on Newfound Lake! The cottage had every single thing we needed, anything we looked for-there it was! We spent most of our time under the shade of the tree next to the water or on the beach. We did venture off to Vermont for a day, went on a Moose sighting tour and toured the lake by boat. Gorgeous view wherever you looked! The owners are 100% attentive and want to ensure the renters have everything they need! We can't wait to go back!"
