"We thoroughly enjoyed renting this house. The whole family wants to return next year. We were a party of 7 ages 13,17,21,25,27,51&59. Everyone had such a great time using the kayaks, canoe & paddle boat. We loved the visits from the mama duck & her babies along with the hummingbirds all day. Listening to the call of the loons was amazing! The house itself is very comfortable and the kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly need. There are lots of books, board games and our family enjoyed the rec room. There were some nice extras that we have never had in a rental before. Fresh flowers on the dining room table & towels in each bedroom with little soaps on top. This was a very nice touch. All we really needed to bring was clothes, food & a few toiletries. We will definitely go back."

"We had a lovely time staying at the cottage and viewing the fall leaves! My mom, sister and little nieces came to visit and we decided to go to the Lakes region to see the beautiful fall colors. Our group consisted of 3 adults (1 senior) and two children (3 years and 1.5 years) The cottage suited us very well, as we had many different needs with all of our age ranges. The little ones had tons of books and toys to play with which were all available in a bookcase in the cottage. They loved playing in the yard as well, there were lots of fun outdoor toys and games for them also provided. The big girls loved having wine and sitting on the deck star gazing after the little ones went to sleep.
The town of Alton Bay is close and convenient, and we really enjoyed eating at Shibleys at the Pier, which was recommended in the visitor book. We also ventured into Wolfboro for the day and had a great time browsing the streets and shops. The grounds around the cottage are beautiful and very peaceful. I could imagine writing a novel out on the deck!
We had everything we needed and were very comfortable during our stay. I recommend this property to anyone looking for a good place to gather and enjoy the outdoors!"

"My family of 6 + 1 toddler + 1 beagle had an amazing stay at the Keatings house. We couldnt have asked for better place to stay, it had a perfect treehouse with full and twin bunk, separate outdoor shower and bathroom. The main house is beautiful woodwork construction with bedrooms in back. The house is very comfortable, the outside kitchen is perfect all week to grill out. The land around the house consists of basically the whole south side of the island! its amazing to walk down the groomed paths to each side of the island with multiple areas to get into water. My beagle loved running around sniffing all over. It was an great place to be! Id say only drawbacks is there is no sandy area for toddler (i was ok as adult) and the water does whip up at times with the wind pushing from east. If you are looking for private island getaway and enjoy the peace and quiet this is the place."

"The chalet was clean , well maintained, and stocked with everything imaginable. We could only see one neighbor-- that is how remote it was. Our dog loved the walks in the woods. We would both recommend the rental and will try to go back again.
thank you, Ray, for a magnificent , peaceful week."
