"If you are a true Lake Connoisseur, put this on your Top 10 List. Swimmer's & paddler's paradise. Quiet. Clean. Loons! Stars! Beautifully equipped kitchen. Totally unobstrusive but lovely young couple owner/landlord and well-behaved & charming old dog. For this reviewer, the best part is the water: the location on a tiny point of land leaves you surrounded on 3 sides by the soft, glimmering, shimmering, inviting water of Lake Skatatukee (pronounced with emphasis on the "-ta"). If relaxation is what you seek, if swimming, canoeing and reading are your idea of a good time, this is the place for you! (Bring your mountain bike - many roads in the area are dirt & gravel).
(ps: bedroom mattress is quite soft).""

"This was a nice little house with a big yard and a brook around the house. There were 4 adults and 2 children ( ages 6 and 2). The kids loved running around and catching frogs. We had such a great time we are already planning for next year."

"We had such a wonderful weekend at this lake house. We decided to host an early Thanksgiving Weekend so our children would be free to visit the rest of their families on Thanksgiving Day. We were a family of 10 ranging from 2-59. The beds were so comfortable and there was no shortage of blankets and pillows. The kitchen was completely stocked for a complete turkey dinner as well as all the family size meals prepared over the course of the weekend. From large soup pots, to casserole dishes, platters, you name it, it was there. Paul and Anne event took the time to make sure the table was set up for 10 and plug in a second refrigerator located downstairs. We enjoyed the hot tub, the kids rode bikes, skimmed rocks on the lake, played ping pong and pool. We were fortunate to hit over 50 degrees on Sunday and the big kids took the paddle boat out on the lake. We were so happy to have that wood stove since Friday and Saturday were extremely cold (18 degrees one night) We hope to make this a yearly tradition as everyone truly enjoyed being together for a whole weekend instead of a few hours on Thanksgiving Day!"

"The Podunk Cabin was one of our favorite cabins that we've rented over the years. Off a remote driveway to your own side of the lake. Breathtaking views (we were there at peak foliage time) and a nice little private island. The owners had stocked us up with wood for our indoor fireplace/woodstove and for the outdoor firepit. We cooked our own meals in a fully stocked kitchen. The furnishing is very cozy. My wife and I had a great time there just the two of us but I can tell that this would be a great place to bring my family in the Summer as well. Thank you Cathedral of the Pines for providing with a great vacation!"
