  • Wonderful Country Retreat

"We rented this charming home to host a family reunion and attend my husbands boarding school reunion in Vermont. What an absolutely breathtaking spot. The views to the adjacent hills during leaf peeping were spectacular and the home is set up to entertain beautifully. The owners were tremendously helpful in suggesting appropriate activities for our young family. The 1780 Farm is an absolute must with the kids as well as apple picking at Alyson's Orchard. The location is great for getting into Keene for supplies but close to the Vermont border for venturing west. We ranged in age from 4 to 76 and all had a most memorable time. Do not hesitate to book this home, you will not regret it!"

  • Surprise party

"10 of us recently stayed at this home for a long weekend as a surprise 77th birthday party for our parents. Ages ranged from 24 to 77 and there was something for everyone. With our son in his own boat fishing, the birthday couple as passengers in the paddle boat and the rest of the group in kayaks, we were all able to enjoy the lake and the beautiful weather. We were able to cook steak tips and baked potatoes on the gas grill and found a large pot for 2 dozen delicious ears of corn on the cob. Everything is there. Everything! We enjoyed the fire pit, the hot tub, ping pong, air hockey and the bikes. The owners are easy to deal with even allowing our 13 year old dog to come. The home is gorgeous with more than enough amenities. One rainy afternoon, we enjoyed a meal and micro brews at Whetstone Station in Brattleboro (go on a nice day when you can enjoy the rooftop beer garden)! Our only disappointment was arriving with food, beer, wine and birthday cake for 10 people with only one working refrigerator...we wish this was communicated to us as it would have made things easier. Otherwise, such a great weekend that we think we will make it an annual event!"

  • Perfect Getaway House

"The owners are easy to work with, and when they say bring just clothes, food and linens they mean it. Everything else is provided. Our family of 7 (ages 24 to 87) biked, kayaked, played board games and pool, had a campfire, relaxed in the hot tub, enjoyed reading the 'coffee table' books and nature guides, ate on the deck, and slept well in comfortable beds. This was our 2nd year renting this house and we want to go back. The owners truly created an atmosphere of comfort and privacy!"

  • Cozy and comfortable.

"We had a wonderful time staying at this cottage. It's small but cozy and comfortable for a family. The cottage is right on the water with a big deck and a beautiful view. The owners were great to work with and are very accommodating. The location is convenient to many attractions and the price was reasonable. The negatives are: Parking is very minimal. There is a very steep and uneven set of stairs down to the cottage that are borderline treacherous so I would not recommend this rental for the elderly or handicapped. Overall we were very pleased and would recommend the rental. We would stay again."
