  • Amazing!

"We had such a wonderful time! There was 4 adults and 6 kids (9months-9 yrs) the condo was clean, beautiful and spacious! Plenty of room for 10 of us. The best was it was full baby proof! Also exciting for my kids because there plenty of games, movies and toys! The condo had everything you needed to cook and clean! We loved having drinks outside on the porch at night and cooking on the grill. The view was amazing, and close to downtown shopping & storyland.Would HIGHLEY recommend to any age. We couldn't have been any happier about everything at this condo. I could go on and on, but only gives me so much space. lol thanks again. We would love to come back! :))"

  • Relaxing Wonderful Stay

"My criteria for vacations homes is to be comfortable, be clean, private and peaceful, plenty to do nearby, and for the beds to be comfortable and the shower to have water pressure. All of that was met and more. This little home may not look the greatest from outside---but, inside has everything you need and the place was clean and very comfortable. I was pleased with it and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. The river fun across the road was a wonderful place for my 9 yr. old grandson and myself and daughter to enjoy. They swam until the big rain came on our last day. It was amazing how high the water went. We took lots of pictures. The owner is very responsive and professional. I was pleased with my purchase. We had a great time."

  • Perfect End to the Summer

"Where to begin. The house was exactly as described which is always nice. My 11 year old son woke up every morning to fish and headed back to the lake for more fishing each night. My 6 year old thought catching the little perches was a lot of fun. All in all, they caught lots of little fishes, along with a few catfish and a couple of large mouth bass. I think starting a log of fish caught is a great idea. We also spent time hiking nearby at Franconia Notch State Park. Amazing! The trails were well maintained and the views were fabulous. The ride to and from Franconia wasn't too bad either, especially when you stopped at the Brickhouse to sample the fudge, the smoked bacon and the smoked cheeses. We were also lucky enough to pick up b'fast on the go a few mornings; the donuts and the maple muffins were delicious. And, we visited Polly Pancakes a couple of times which I highly recommend (and don't forget the reservations). We didn't spend to much time visiting civilization as the whole point for us was to get away. I personally loved the fact that my cell phone got absolutely no reception at the house. I didn't mind being cut off for a while. The fire pit was wonderful as well. The kids fished, I sat by the fire with my kindle and a glass of wine.....perfection! Then later on we roasted marshmallows and enjoyed the peace. We were also amazed by the night sky. The light pollution is so much less than here in NJ; the sky was full of stars....more than we ever see at home. If we are ever in the area again, we would definitely stay here. No complaints at all."

White Mountains Travel Tips

New Hampshire’s White Mountains are some of the most beautiful mountains to visit in the U.S. Journey along the White Mountains Trail, a 100-mile long Scenic Byway; the views from the Northern and Southern Loop will take your breath away, especially in the fall color. Small towns have historic charm and offer restaurants, shopping and recreation while the range of outdoor activities is unrivalled. See the natural beauty of the area captured by painter Thomas Cole, among many others, or enjoy more active pursuits. Visit lakes, forests, mountain viewpoints, caves and gorges. This area is ideal for family vacations and continues to be a well-kept secret which visitors return to year after year.

The Advantages of Staying in White Mountains Vacation Rentals

A vacation in the White Mountains offers a great opportunity to get away from city life, traffic and crowds, and relax in the peaceful outdoors. A well-located White Mountains cabin or home offers tranquility, privacy and peace. Sit out on the porch and read, curl up by the log fire and watch an old film, cook comfort food in the well-equipped kitchen or soak away the aches of the day in a hot tub after energetic mountain biking. Each White Mountain vacation home is individual so choose a place to suit you and your family and call it home for a week or more.

Things to do by Your White Mountains Lodging in all Four Seasons

Unlike most holiday destinations which have a short summer season, the fun in New Hampshire’s White Mountains goes on all year-round. In fact, it is perhaps at its most popular during the winter months when the ski areas of Mount Cranmore, Attitash, Black Mountain, Wildcat and Bretton Woods vacation cabins are at their best. With a host of cross-country trails for getting around, visitors can enjoy snowmobiling, skiing, ice skating, tobogganing, snow-shoeing, ice climbing and snowboarding. Santa’s Village is another fun attraction during this season.

Spring is great in the White Mountains for hiking, and exploring the area. Shopping is fantastic and there are more than 125 tax-free outlet stores in the area, some within walking distance of White Mountains lodging.

Summer is the time to enjoy the lakes and rivers for swimming, tubing, canoeing, kayaking, boating and fishing. Drier pursuits can include golf, mini-golf, go-carts, mountain biking, horseback riding and hiking in the magnificent scenery.

New Hampshire is known for its spectacular fall color when the trees display vivid reds, oranges and yellows. Take the scenic Conway and Cog railway or go apple picking.

Neighborhoods to Visit by White Mountains Condos

Bartlett is located in a mountain valley in the central White Mountains, about three hours north of Boston. The mountain villages of Jackson, Glen and Hart’s location are close to Bartlett and have attracted visitors for almost 200 years. For those who want covered bridges, quiet lanes, white-steepled churches and rolling farmland, these towns will surprise and delight. The Lincoln/Woodstock area is conveniently close to the I-93 and offers plenty of activities all year-round on the western slopes of the White Mountains. It is ideal for hikers and nature-lovers or those wanting a scenic drive through the varied landscape. For art-lovers, North Conway Village lodging has a host of small stores, galleries, craft shops and clothing suppliers, and is the area’s center for outlet shopping.

Getting to the White Mountains, NH

The White Mountains are easily reached by flying into Portland International Jetport at Portland, Maine. It is 57 miles from Bartlett, NH. A little further afield is the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport at Manchester which is 79 miles from Bartlett. Pick up a hire car or sturdy 4-WD and your holiday fun begins. Getting around the White Mountains depends upon what you want to do. Hiking, biking and kayaking are popular but a car is necessary to reach most vacation homes.
