Recent White Mountains property reviews

  • Spacious cabin with great access to ski resorts

"This property turned out to be a great stay for our group of ten while skiing in the White Mountains for the new year. Spacious, clean, accommodating - the house comes complete with all of the amenities needed for a getaway trip. The linens provided at an additonal cost were definetely worth it, and the house was sparkling clean. The fireplace was great to have and kept the house warm throughout the night. Easy access to main roads, and minutes to the closest mountains. I would most certainly recommend a stay at this location!"

  • Great location, easy to work with owner

"We just returned from a weekend stay. Overall, it was a great house for us! The kitchen is fully stocked, there were two full bathrooms (although one shower wasn't working), spacious accommodations, etc. The only thing I wish we had known in advance is that one of the bedrooms is right in between the living room and dining room and it only has curtains for doors. Therefore, this space would not work for small children who go to bed early or adults who don't want to be woken up early when others start to get up. The location is deal - easy to walk to everything in town and the owner was very easy to work with. We would come back."

  • Last summer vacation

"My family had a great time with this rental. Lots of fun on the lake between fishing and swimming and splashing around. We ventured out into the nearby mountains for some great hikes and tubing in the rivers. Civilization (i.e. Dunkin Donuts) was nearby as was some great local eats. The house was clean and everything was as promised."

  • Great weekend getaway!

"We had a great family getaway to this chalet! The grandparents went shopping while the parents and kids went on an adventure hike at Wildcat. The place, though dated, was extremely clean and perfectly fit our needs. The dishwasher leaked and we cleaned up the water as much as possible. The owners aren't local but they got right back to us and refunded some of our money. They were very gracious and we would definitely stay there again. Thanks so much!"

White Mountains Travel Tips

New Hampshire’s White Mountains are some of the most beautiful mountains to visit in the U.S. Journey along the White Mountains Trail, a 100-mile long Scenic Byway; the views from the Northern and Southern Loop will take your breath away, especially in the fall color. Small towns have historic charm and offer restaurants, shopping and recreation while the range of outdoor activities is unrivalled. See the natural beauty of the area captured by painter Thomas Cole, among many others, or enjoy more active pursuits. Visit lakes, forests, mountain viewpoints, caves and gorges. This area is ideal for family vacations and continues to be a well-kept secret which visitors return to year after year.

The Advantages of Staying in White Mountains Vacation Rentals

A vacation in the White Mountains offers a great opportunity to get away from city life, traffic and crowds, and relax in the peaceful outdoors. A well-located White Mountains cabin or home offers tranquility, privacy and peace. Sit out on the porch and read, curl up by the log fire and watch an old film, cook comfort food in the well-equipped kitchen or soak away the aches of the day in a hot tub after energetic mountain biking. Each White Mountain vacation home is individual so choose a place to suit you and your family and call it home for a week or more.

Things to do by Your White Mountains Lodging in all Four Seasons

Unlike most holiday destinations which have a short summer season, the fun in New Hampshire’s White Mountains goes on all year-round. In fact, it is perhaps at its most popular during the winter months when the ski areas of Mount Cranmore, Attitash, Black Mountain, Wildcat and Bretton Woods vacation cabins are at their best. With a host of cross-country trails for getting around, visitors can enjoy snowmobiling, skiing, ice skating, tobogganing, snow-shoeing, ice climbing and snowboarding. Santa’s Village is another fun attraction during this season.

Spring is great in the White Mountains for hiking, and exploring the area. Shopping is fantastic and there are more than 125 tax-free outlet stores in the area, some within walking distance of White Mountains lodging.

Summer is the time to enjoy the lakes and rivers for swimming, tubing, canoeing, kayaking, boating and fishing. Drier pursuits can include golf, mini-golf, go-carts, mountain biking, horseback riding and hiking in the magnificent scenery.

New Hampshire is known for its spectacular fall color when the trees display vivid reds, oranges and yellows. Take the scenic Conway and Cog railway or go apple picking.

Neighborhoods to Visit by White Mountains Condos

Bartlett is located in a mountain valley in the central White Mountains, about three hours north of Boston. The Lincoln/Woodstock area is conveniently close to the I-93 and offers plenty of activities all year-round on the western slopes of the White Mountains. It is ideal for hikers and nature-lovers or those wanting a scenic drive through the varied landscape. For art-lovers, North Conway Village lodging has a host of small stores, galleries, craft shops and clothing suppliers, and is the area’s center for outlet shopping.
