  • Good location

"We spent a long weekend for a hockey tournament at Waterville. The location was great -easy to unload from the parking area, and it overlooked the ice rink and the town 'village' with places to eat, drink, and shop! The kids enjoyed the pool, and we had a chance to enjoy the skiing/snowboarding at Waterville (a short drive or a shuttle ride away). The Blue Moon Cafe was a favorite breakfast stop, and Legends sports bar was a great place to watch the playoff football games!"

  • Great stay in North Conway, NH

"Terrific facility, comfortable surroundings, great kitchen. Location about 1 1/2 miles from N Conway center made it both quiet and convenient. Loved the place and will stay here again if possible."

  • Great Rental

"This townhouse was wonderful! Everyone kept raving about it. It was up to date, nicely furnished, had loads of games and books and the ping pong table was a real hit. It was very thoughtfully stocked with paper towels, ziploc bags, garbage bags, spices - even laundry baskets and a keurig machine. Plenty of space with 4 levels, great place for kids and the deck was lovely, quite private and serene. I prefer to stay in Intervale/Bartlett so I was very happy with the location - 10 minutes to everything (Conway, Storyland) but just enough away to be quite peaceful. The owner was easy to work with - we hope we can come back again soon."

  • Cozy quiet cottage with mountain views

"The cottage is cozy and warm, even during a deep freeze--most nights were well below zero when we stayed. There are miles of trails you can hike, ski or snowshoe on right from the door. We barely used our car the whole week. Larry and Yvonne are over-the-top hosts, delivering homemade muffins and jam one morning, and inviting us to watch the Super Bowl at their beautiful home with them. The washer and dryer is a nice plus. We have stayed at many places in the White Mountains and in Maine, but this was by far the best. We hope to go back again...in the summer next time!"

White Mountains Travel Tips

New Hampshire’s White Mountains are some of the most beautiful mountains to visit in the U.S. Journey along the White Mountains Trail, a 100-mile long Scenic Byway; the views from the Northern and Southern Loop will take your breath away, especially in the fall color. Small towns have historic charm and offer restaurants, shopping and recreation while the range of outdoor activities is unrivalled. See the natural beauty of the area captured by painter Thomas Cole, among many others, or enjoy more active pursuits. Visit lakes, forests, mountain viewpoints, caves and gorges. This area is ideal for family vacations and continues to be a well-kept secret which visitors return to year after year.

The Advantages of Staying in White Mountains Vacation Rentals

A vacation in the White Mountains offers a great opportunity to get away from city life, traffic and crowds, and relax in the peaceful outdoors. A well-located White Mountains cabin or home offers tranquility, privacy and peace. Sit out on the porch and read, curl up by the log fire and watch an old film, cook comfort food in the well-equipped kitchen or soak away the aches of the day in a hot tub after energetic mountain biking. Each White Mountain vacation home is individual so choose a place to suit you and your family and call it home for a week or more.

Things to do by Your White Mountains Lodging in all Four Seasons

Unlike most holiday destinations which have a short summer season, the fun in New Hampshire’s White Mountains goes on all year-round. In fact, it is perhaps at its most popular during the winter months when the ski areas of Mount Cranmore, Attitash, Black Mountain, Wildcat and Bretton Woods vacation cabins are at their best. With a host of cross-country trails for getting around, visitors can enjoy snowmobiling, skiing, ice skating, tobogganing, snow-shoeing, ice climbing and snowboarding. Santa’s Village is another fun attraction during this season.

Spring is great in the White Mountains for hiking, and exploring the area. Shopping is fantastic and there are more than 125 tax-free outlet stores in the area, some within walking distance of White Mountains lodging.

Summer is the time to enjoy the lakes and rivers for swimming, tubing, canoeing, kayaking, boating and fishing. Drier pursuits can include golf, mini-golf, go-carts, mountain biking, horseback riding and hiking in the magnificent scenery.

New Hampshire is known for its spectacular fall color when the trees display vivid reds, oranges and yellows. Take the scenic Conway and Cog railway or go apple picking.

Neighborhoods to Visit by White Mountains Condos

Bartlett is located in a mountain valley in the central White Mountains, about three hours north of Boston. The mountain villages of Jackson, Glen and Hart’s location are close to Bartlett and have attracted visitors for almost 200 years. For those who want covered bridges, quiet lanes, white-steepled churches and rolling farmland, these towns will surprise and delight. The Lincoln/Woodstock area is conveniently close to the I-93 and offers plenty of activities all year-round on the western slopes of the White Mountains. It is ideal for hikers and nature-lovers or those wanting a scenic drive through the varied landscape. For art-lovers, North Conway Village lodging has a host of small stores, galleries, craft shops and clothing suppliers, and is the area’s center for outlet shopping.
