  • Perfect place for a family vacation

"Descriptions about house are accurate. Owners easy to deal with and provide clear instructions. Cottage is located near places of interest within walking distance to Echo lake, Cathedral Ledge, and Diana' Baths, and has probably the best unobstructed view of the ledge from the large deck and living room. House has good layout with two sitting areas in the same living room and large flat TV, internet, DVD and Wii with some good games for kids and so many movies (even though it is debatable whether it is a good thing or not :-)). We liked the clean, well equiped full kitchen, new grill on the large deck. It was very convenient for preparing a good home-cooked meal. The owners have many mountain and road bicycles for both adults and kids, which were nice for a family to go bike riding in the safe neighborhood. The public beach on Echo lake was very clean and safe for swimming with a fantastic view of the two ledges. Very close to Saco river, which is fun for kayaking, canoeing or simply sitting on tubes floating down the river."

"We loved it.. and we want to come back next summer. The view was calming and the breeze from the back deck from the mountains was cool and relaxing. You don't have to leave the community it has everything. The pond is just feet away... as well as the park.. cook out on the deck... Play board games.. that's what I'm talking about. We did go sight seeing since we had company from Louisiana... They loved the Lost River, Saco river, Hobo Railroad, shopping in the outlets and the Basin.. We watched fireworks at Shula Park.. We also took a ride to Portland, ME for a Whale Watch... They can't wait to come back!!! The Chalet is extremely clean and comfortable. Thank you Jay!!! :)"

  • Wonderful stay! Already booked again for 2015!

"We were so happy with our stay at the Hill Cottage! The owner was very helpful when it came to planning our stay. The property itself is kept extremely clean and stocked with all of the necessities. We used the kayaks that were provided often. The outdoor fireplace/grill was so lovely and the indoor fireplace was perfect on a rainy day. The beach and water was also very nice and clean. The location is perfect for hiking and very close to North Conway for some shopping or eating out. We were so impressed, we already booked with Ken for another stay next summer!"

White Mountains Travel Tips

New Hampshire’s White Mountains are some of the most beautiful mountains to visit in the U.S. Journey along the White Mountains Trail, a 100-mile long Scenic Byway; the views from the Northern and Southern Loop will take your breath away, especially in the fall color. Small towns have historic charm and offer restaurants, shopping and recreation while the range of outdoor activities is unrivalled. See the natural beauty of the area captured by painter Thomas Cole, among many others, or enjoy more active pursuits. Visit lakes, forests, mountain viewpoints, caves and gorges. This area is ideal for family vacations and continues to be a well-kept secret which visitors return to year after year.

The Advantages of Staying in White Mountains Vacation Rentals

A vacation in the White Mountains offers a great opportunity to get away from city life, traffic and crowds, and relax in the peaceful outdoors. A well-located White Mountains cabin or home offers tranquility, privacy and peace. Sit out on the porch and read, curl up by the log fire and watch an old film, cook comfort food in the well-equipped kitchen or soak away the aches of the day in a hot tub after energetic mountain biking. Each White Mountain vacation home is individual so choose a place to suit you and your family and call it home for a week or more.

Things to do by Your White Mountains Lodging in all Four Seasons

Unlike most holiday destinations which have a short summer season, the fun in New Hampshire’s White Mountains goes on all year-round. In fact, it is perhaps at its most popular during the winter months when the ski areas of Mount Cranmore, Attitash, Black Mountain, Wildcat and Bretton Woods vacation cabins are at their best. With a host of cross-country trails for getting around, visitors can enjoy snowmobiling, skiing, ice skating, tobogganing, snow-shoeing, ice climbing and snowboarding. Santa’s Village is another fun attraction during this season.

Spring is great in the White Mountains for hiking, and exploring the area. Shopping is fantastic and there are more than 125 tax-free outlet stores in the area, some within walking distance of White Mountains lodging.

Summer is the time to enjoy the lakes and rivers for swimming, tubing, canoeing, kayaking, boating and fishing. Drier pursuits can include golf, mini-golf, go-carts, mountain biking, horseback riding and hiking in the magnificent scenery.

New Hampshire is known for its spectacular fall color when the trees display vivid reds, oranges and yellows. Take the scenic Conway and Cog railway or go apple picking.

Neighborhoods to Visit by White Mountains Condos

Bartlett is located in a mountain valley in the central White Mountains, about three hours north of Boston. The mountain villages of Jackson, Glen and Hart’s location are close to Bartlett and have attracted visitors for almost 200 years. For those who want covered bridges, quiet lanes, white-steepled churches and rolling farmland, these towns will surprise and delight. The Lincoln/Woodstock area is conveniently close to the I-93 and offers plenty of activities all year-round on the western slopes of the White Mountains. It is ideal for hikers and nature-lovers or those wanting a scenic drive through the varied landscape. For art-lovers, North Conway Village lodging has a host of small stores, galleries, craft shops and clothing suppliers, and is the area’s center for outlet shopping.
