  • Fantastic girls weekend

"Four of us "Moms" went up for my 40th bday and it was great! We all had our own bedrooms and they were all super comfortable. I slept in the bunk room and it was like a bear cave. It was so easy to enjoy sleeping in all the way to 8:30. If you're a mum of young children you know how blissful that is. We stumbled onto a wine tasting at a local wine store and had a blast. We were referred to the Woodstock brewery for dinner and they had a live band so we busted out our crazy funny mom moves. We finished with a walk out by the river. It was so fun and the condo was perfect. We all agreed we need to go back with our families to take full advantage of the home. We didn't even turn on the giant tv downstairs. Hopefully we can plan a trip during ski season and also take advantage of the location to Loon Mtn. It's super modern and clean and comfy. You won't want to leave."

  • Hiker's Heaven

"Friends of ours found this astounding home last year and invited us for a hiking weekend reunion of college friends. We loved it so much we decided to rent the same place this year, invited the same friends to join us, and had an equally fabulous time during one of the peak foliage weekends in NH. It actually felt like coming home this year to a familiar place that we knew we would enjoy and feel very comfortable in. We looked forward to seeing all the artistic and creative touches integrated into this custom dream home, from the woven textiles to the quilt to the carved ducks and other interesting artifacts displayed throughout the house. Nothing beats a firepit under the starlit sky, followed by drifting off to sleep looking up at those same stars through the roof skylights. My wish is to come again in spring and in summer! The owners are easy and pleasant to make arrangements with and the value for the experience can't be beat. Bring your camera!!!!!!!"

  • great vacation

"Great condo, well kept, well equipped, scenic location, quiet, clean. Lots of stuff to do near-by: hiking, kayaking, high ropes course/zip lines, waterfalls, swimming. Enjoyed all. Recommendations from the owner were excellent! We had a terrific stay and would highly recommend."

  • Spectacular view!! Great family vacation

"View was amazing--one of the best we found. The house is designed for great views--from the terrace, the hot tub, decks and the wall of windows. We had our children, grandchildren, ourselves and siblings. It is a wonderful house for a family vaction. There was great space to have group time and lots of space for private time. Plenty of bedrooms with private baths. Clean, nice bedding and plenty of towels. Beautiful kitchen with a more well stocked panty than expected. Having a laundry was a plus. A memorable week!"

White Mountains Travel Tips

New Hampshire’s White Mountains are some of the most beautiful mountains to visit in the U.S. Journey along the White Mountains Trail, a 100-mile long Scenic Byway; the views from the Northern and Southern Loop will take your breath away, especially in the fall color. Small towns have historic charm and offer restaurants, shopping and recreation while the range of outdoor activities is unrivalled. See the natural beauty of the area captured by painter Thomas Cole, among many others, or enjoy more active pursuits. Visit lakes, forests, mountain viewpoints, caves and gorges. This area is ideal for family vacations and continues to be a well-kept secret which visitors return to year after year.

The Advantages of Staying in White Mountains Vacation Rentals

A vacation in the White Mountains offers a great opportunity to get away from city life, traffic and crowds, and relax in the peaceful outdoors. A well-located White Mountains cabin or home offers tranquility, privacy and peace. Sit out on the porch and read, curl up by the log fire and watch an old film, cook comfort food in the well-equipped kitchen or soak away the aches of the day in a hot tub after energetic mountain biking. Each White Mountain vacation home is individual so choose a place to suit you and your family and call it home for a week or more.

Things to do by Your White Mountains Lodging in all Four Seasons

Unlike most holiday destinations which have a short summer season, the fun in New Hampshire’s White Mountains goes on all year-round. In fact, it is perhaps at its most popular during the winter months when the ski areas of Mount Cranmore, Attitash, Black Mountain, Wildcat and Bretton Woods vacation cabins are at their best. With a host of cross-country trails for getting around, visitors can enjoy snowmobiling, skiing, ice skating, tobogganing, snow-shoeing, ice climbing and snowboarding. Santa’s Village is another fun attraction during this season.

Spring is great in the White Mountains for hiking, and exploring the area. Shopping is fantastic and there are more than 125 tax-free outlet stores in the area, some within walking distance of White Mountains lodging.

Summer is the time to enjoy the lakes and rivers for swimming, tubing, canoeing, kayaking, boating and fishing. Drier pursuits can include golf, mini-golf, go-carts, mountain biking, horseback riding and hiking in the magnificent scenery.

New Hampshire is known for its spectacular fall color when the trees display vivid reds, oranges and yellows. Take the scenic Conway and Cog railway or go apple picking.

Neighborhoods to Visit by White Mountains Condos

Bartlett is located in a mountain valley in the central White Mountains, about three hours north of Boston. The mountain villages of Jackson, Glen and Hart’s location are close to Bartlett and have attracted visitors for almost 200 years. For those who want covered bridges, quiet lanes, white-steepled churches and rolling farmland, these towns will surprise and delight. The Lincoln/Woodstock area is conveniently close to the I-93 and offers plenty of activities all year-round on the western slopes of the White Mountains. It is ideal for hikers and nature-lovers or those wanting a scenic drive through the varied landscape. For art-lovers, North Conway Village lodging has a host of small stores, galleries, craft shops and clothing suppliers, and is the area’s center for outlet shopping.

Getting to the White Mountains, NH

The White Mountains are easily reached by flying into Portland International Jetport at Portland, Maine. It is 57 miles from Bartlett, NH. A little further afield is the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport at Manchester which is 79 miles from Bartlett. Pick up a hire car or sturdy 4-WD and your holiday fun begins. Getting around the White Mountains depends upon what you want to do. Hiking, biking and kayaking are popular but a car is necessary to reach most vacation homes.
