  • Comfortable Condo has it all!

"We had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful condo this summer. The view from the deck is spectacular offering a wonderful place to have coffee in the morning and wine in the afternoon! The condo was a perfect location for us to explore and enjoy the beauty of the White Mountains. I would recommend this condo if you are coming to explore the endless views, waterfalls and hiking. Robin, the owner could not be more accommodating. Her love of the area shows in her condo, so nicely done. She is so helpful with sharing information about the area, it really helped us to plan our trip. We will be back, as we look forward to seeing the beauty that each of the seasons has upon the magnificent view from the deck! Thanks Robin! G and J from Syracuse, NY"

  • Great Place to Stay in White Mountains

"My wife, infant and I just got back from a great stay at Bob's Black Bear Lodge. The apartment is very nice and roomy, and the fire place in particular makes for a very cozy atmosphere. Bob is a nice, accommodating guy, who I never felt any hesitation to contact, yet, you definitely have enough space here that you don't feel like you're in someone's house, and have to be on eggshells. My wife and I enjoy visiting the White Mountains, and the Lodge is in a great location for this purpose, with mountain views and close to North Conway, where you can find the great shopping deals. Overall, what I liked best about staying at the Lodge is that on a price comparison basis for staying in the area, it is a good deal, when you consider that you are getting an entire apartment, not just a small hotel room."

  • Your expectations will be surpassed!!! Amazing property & great owners

"The pictures the owners have posted, along with the nicely detailed description, tell the REAL story of this beautiful and comfortable home, which is situated perfectly in a very private, protected, yet superbly convenient location. We were searching for that elusive vacation that is hard to come by --- where your find a place that is exactly as advertised, with no complications or unpleasant surprises, and the ability to actually relax and be away from it all (without having to literally be away from it all, if you so choose). Well, we found it here! We bought all of our groceries in the small village grocer, and found that they had everything we needed at surprisingly reasonable prices (they offered a very nice selection of beers & wines for a small place, they do not sell liquor). Be sure to try some local produce, we bought fresh corn on the cob and broccoli, both of which were delicious (the corn was exceptional). Meals were so enjoyable, from preparing them in the well-stocked kitchen with amazing views to eating them at the bar, dining room table, comfy on the couch, or while taking in splendid scenery on the deck. We slept great, and enjoyed the breeze and one pleasant evening of soothing rain since we had the windows open just the right amount. We took the short drive to the Mt Washington Hotel and rode the Cog Wheel train to the summit, as well as checking out a few cascades, and local Bethlehem shops. Other than that, although there are plenty of hiking and skiing options within 15-30 minutes, we just stayed in and savored every moment we could at this special secret retreat. It was very hard to leave....... BTW I travel extensively for business and personal purposes, and have never been inclined to write a review before. I just had to in this case, as I give this my very highest recommendation!"

  • Amazing Large Lakefront Home

"My wife and I had the pleasure of staying in this wonderful home for a ski weekend. The pictures do not even show how beautiful this post and beam mountaintop house really is. This is a very clean and organized home with lots of extras, without the clutter. The open concept living space is wonderful and would easily accommodate a large group. The huge windows and glass doors provided beautiful views in all directions. The huge kitchen was stocked with everything we could have wanted. The master bed was comfortable and provided us a great nights sleep. There is a huge second living room and second kitchen downstairs that would be great to have with a large family. There are closets filled with toys for the kids. We were here for skiing, but the large wrap around deck right on the lake looked like it would be an amazing spot for warmer weather. This home is within close walking distance of the recreation center and pools. The amenities at the WV Estates are unmatched in the area. The house is set back , private, and very quiet for such a convenient location within the neighborhood. This home is really beautiful and was a nice retreat for us. Paul is one of the best owners to work with and was beyond accommodating. We have rented several homes in WVE and this and one other at the top of Pegwood are by far the best homes available. The summer would be spectacular with the lake location and the terrific outdoor Adirondack chair fire-pit area at night. We cannot wait to return and would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a quality home in a great location with wonderful owners to work with."
