  • Another Great Visit

"For the second year in a row, my family and I stayed at this absolutely perfect shore home. The design and furnishings are great and it's always in beautiful condition. We love the proximity to the beach, the boardwalk, the playground, and Russo's Deli (our favorite), but more than that, the owners have thought of everything to save you time and trouble - great things for a vacation, especially if you're coming from a distance. Don't worry about bringing bikes, boogie boards, chairs, an umbrella, or even the carrier for the beach items. And for me, the internet access is a real plus. For years I spent the early morning hours at McDonald's downloading my email. Now, I can do it at the kitchen table with a cup of coffee in front of me and be there when the kids wake up. The beach is perfect. Not too big like down in Wildwood proper and not to narrow like up towards the point at 4th and 5th street. And this year, we had another pleasant surprise - the lifeguarding. We stayed there the week the hurricane road up the coast and while our weather wasn't affected, the rip currents and waves were the biggest I can remember in over 40 years at the Jersey shore. For the 1st 3 days of the week, I watched our lifeguards truly "work" the beach and the ocean. We felt completely safe, and so did the kids. Just another reason we love this location. Finally, I'll just say that dealing with the owners is a complete pleasure. Everything is done over email and we were literally emailing with them the day we arrived when we had a question or two. They are terrific people and their attention to detail and true desire to make your week the best ever come through in every detail of the house. I would strongly recommend this wonderful family oriented home (and street) to anyone. Thanks for another memorable stay!"

  • perfect beach house for large group!

"Great House for large group, we recently stayed - we were 5 families, all with 2 kids each (under the age of 6!), the house large enough to give everyone enough space to themselves. The house is well stocked and finishes are beautiful. 1 very short block to the beach, pizza across the street and loads of ice-cream stores! You never need to drive anywhere. Jim is fabulous to work with."

  • Perfect Relaxing Beach Getaway

"This is such a charming, comfortable and beautifully decorated apartment convenient to all! Had been to Cape May before but hadn't stayed in the Point area - will from now on. It's an easy bike ride on the provided bikes to the natural point beaches, the village, marinas, etc., and you definitely feel like you are getting away from it all. Wildlife is everywhere and enjoyed morning runs over to the lighthouse where a few nature trails begin which were wonderful to explore. Kay and John provided perfect instructions on all details ahead of time. We would highly recommend and hope to return!"

  • A beautiful place

"It was our first time in Brigantine and we really enjoy our stay. The condo is very clean, well decorated, close to the beach, stores and restaurants. You can tell that the condo is well taken care of. What you see in the pictures is what you get. The residents at Carousel are friendly and were helpfull when we arrived. Nick, the owner, is available and respond quickly to our inquiries. You can bring your bike and use the path just in front on the condo to discover the island. There is also a golf course near by. Beach is amazing and Nick provides with beach tags. It's quiet, the place to go if you want to relax! We were sad to leave at the end of the week but promised ourself to come back!"

Gateway Region Travel Tips

Reasons to Choose Gateway Vacation Rentals

The Gateway region of New Jersey covers the friendly towns and communities of Edgewater, Hoboken, Jersey City, Maplewood and Millburn among others. Most visitors choose to stay in the Gateway area in order to visit New York City, just across the Upper Bay. Choosing a vacation home within 15 minutes of the Big Apple means visitors can enjoy all the sights without the big price tag of staying in Manhattan itself. The towns in the Gateway region have numerous art galleries, shopping malls, great restaurants and museums. They also have excellent transportation links including the PATH train to New York City and ferries to Ellis Island and Liberty Island.

Hotels in New York City can be very pricey, particularly for a family but vacation rentals in the nearby Gateway region are very affordable. Renting a vacation home or apartment gives you a quiet place to return to at the end of each day and relax in comfortable surroundings. Being just 15 minutes from the city allows you easy access to all the city sights from the Gateway region. Enjoy the freedom and space of your own place, with as many bedrooms as you choose. With several TVs and other amenities, the whole family can do as they please. Dining at home can also save money compared to eating out three times a day in NYC. With a well-equipped kitchen and full-size appliances, catering for the family is easy and convenient. Choose a rental home that is within walking distance of the train and avoid the expense and hassle of having a rental car too.

Places to Visit From Your Gateway Vacation Home

The Upper East Side is known as “Museum Mile” as it has several world-class art galleries and museums. Central Park is a must-do, whether you want a romantic stroll, a morning jog or a horse-drawn carriage ride. In the winter, the ponds are frozen for skating beneath the stars. Chinatown is an excellent area if you want a cheap and tasty meal, or go upmarket and dine in Little Italy. Greenwich is another delightful historic community to explore.
