  • Nice place, but best enjoyed with a car.

"A clean, comfortable home with comfortable beds, very usable kitchen/shower, outdoor grill. Landlady was very friendly and easy to communicate with. Only note I would make is that the 'beach' steps away was not open for swimming when we were there, had to walk 15-20 min to get to swimmable beaches/casinos. There's also only a mini mart nearby, you'll have to drive to get to a grocery store if you are planning to do a lot of cooking. So in summary I definitely recommend this place but be sure you have a car/dont mind taking a taxi to get around AC."

  • A very nice house and pleasant stay!

"We just stayed for 5 days in this house. It is very nice! The house is spacious and very clean. The location is really good, very close to the park and beach. The owner is also very friendly! We will definitely come back later!"

  • Great house, questionable neighboorhood, tedious booking

"Before I start, I want to make it clear, we LOVED this house, but there was glitches along the way. It took quite some time to 1. get a hold of the owner and 2. finally book it. It was a long, tedious process where I was incredibly proactive and in the end was given a one day turn around for send a $2000 check (or I'd lose the house) because the owner had taken too long to get back to me, it was too short of a time to just send a deposit and pull the rest of the money after. With that there was a $500 security deposit that had to be paid with the rental fee. I've rented from countless people and it's always been a separate check, that was never deposited, that was sent back to me. I really didn't like this policy because I was (for absolutely no reason) out of $500 for two months because the owner took so long to send it back to me. With that all said, it's a great house. But, the bedrooms on the highest level are not bedrooms and do not have windows, and I don't think anyone other than frat boys or kids would be happy spending money and sleeping there. I think the house accurately comfortably sleeps 8 in real bedrooms, and ~4 more people in the attic/top floor who have to be great sports about the situation. The bathrooms are nice! and the kitchen/deck is all phenomenal. The one strange experience was the location, it's clearly in a bad neighborhood, but our first night a guy knocks on the door saying he'll drive us to the casinos if we book with him, and that it's a very dangerous neighborhood and we should never leave the house. What?? We were a group of girls ages 25-30 from, let's just say, diverse backgrounds. Some of us can handle being in a sketchy neighborhood, others really couldn't and weren't uncomfortable. It would have been great if we were told that up front, and I think any groups of women booking should know that. (Cab drivers from the casinos will refuse to drive you home - we tried - so you have to drive yourself, or use the service, which was actually great and reliable.) I know it sounds like a lot of complaints, but there just was no communication on the part of the owner of what we were getting into, just what he needed from us, and not really what information we would need from him. With all this said, we LOVED the house and felt safe the entire time we were there. If you want a relaxing way to do AC, this is the house to do it in. I just wish we we had a better idea of what we were getting into beforehand."

  • Great Long Weekend with Large Group

"We had a large group of guys (14) stay at this place for a long weekend, and it was a perfect house for our purposes. The living room was large enough for everyone to hang out, and there was definitely enough places for everyone to sleep. We walked to the beach everyday, and there are stores within blocks for all your needs. I'd highly suggest this place for a large group!"
