  • Idyllic Spot

"My husband and I along with our son and daughter-in-law enjoyed a week here in this lovely spot with Wreck Pond across the street and Black Creek, so myterious and romantic at night, across the street from the side of the house. Lovely garden, everything is spotless, so relaxing on the wrap around porch watching the great egrets, cormorants and osrpey. The beaches in the area are beautiful, the water temperature comfortable the hosts very gracious. What more could one ask for but to stay longer here in this charming little town. Wonderful shopping area. Found some great jewelry."

  • Amazing House and Location!

"We stayed in the Chadwick Cottage for a week this winter and absolutely loved it! The house is beautiful and the location is great for walking to tons of different restaurants, shops, and the beach. It was the perfect, relaxing place to stay with room for extended family to visit. I can't wait to plan another trip! And the owner is very helpful and accessible."

  • Great, relaxing & comfortable get-away!

"We had a great sister get-away week! The property was neat and tidy and very close to the beach. It has a nice parking area off of the street. We loved walking to the beach everyday and being able to go back to the house for lunch/breaks. We would definitely stay there again (hopefullly next year). It had everything we needed...washer/dryer, wifi, nice deck. We would recommend it!"

  • great location, comfortable for a crowd

"Our family group of 13 (ages 1 to 75) had a great time in this comfortable, clean, and compact house. The location truly cannot be beat. We went for almost an entire week without using cars, and the 4 and 5 year olds in our group could easily walk to and from the beach (and to ice cream, coffee shops, and a small grocery/convenience store). Ocean Grove is a charming town and the beaches are clean and well guarded. While the house is "compact" the three levels plus two large porches meant that we never felt like we were on top of each other or cramped. The house contained almost everything we needed (except a high chair and portacrib that we brought for the smallest) and this made our stay quite easy and relaxing. It stayed cool on a humid/muggy day and night (with A/C and fans); the kitchen was very well appointed with the gear we needed to cook communal meals from scratch; two large tables - one in the kitchen, the second in the front room - provided ample room for us all to sit together to eat as well. The amenities (bathrooms, kitchen appliances, w/d) were all in good working order and on the "new" side. Most impressively, all of the advertised beach gear - beach towels, umbrellas, chairs, toys, tags - was there and in excellent condition. The good weather meant that we did not nee to delve deeply into the enormous DVD collection but we could have happily passed rainy/bad weather days in the basement media room. Two of the bedrooms are capacious, the other three are smaller (though not cramped). The basement bedroom with a twin bed provided a useful retreat for the teenager; the bedroom with four bunks and a double bed good for the smaller kids and parents. I think the only thing we thought was missing were some reading lights! But in an age of the Kindle, this was a truly minor thing. ON that note, the house does not (this year, 2014) have WiFi, which some in our party (the teenager in particular) initially found frustrating. But by the end of the week, the enforced "respite" from the screens and the many pleasures of being together that this nice house offered to us had turned into a very good thing! We had a great time."
