  • Wonderful get away

"Our two families (4 adults and 4 kids) stayed at the home this last week. What a wonderful time we had! All the amenities of home, a gorgeous kitchen, HBO and full cable, free wifi, comfortable beds and pretty much anything our hearts desired, was included for us in this home. The beach was a quick trip away via tractor, and not crowded at all. The lighthouse was a short bike ride away, as well as several restaurants, shops, the Viking village, and access to fishing. Walking to ice cream at night with the kids was always fun, and we had no problem with them riding bikes or scooters on the private street. The neighbors were all friendly, in fact, they had kids the same age as ours to play with! It was a great week:)"

  • Renter

"My family and I rented in September. The house is beautifully decorated and is comfortable in every part of the house. The location is excellent. Just a few steps to the beach. Owners were great and answered all of my emails quickly in the weeks leading up to the weekend and during the time we were there. I felt the owners really wanted to make sure we were comfortable and relaxed. Little things around the house shows their attention to details and knowing just what we needed while we staying there. Great kitchen and the many decks added to the special feeling of the whole house. I especially loved the table and eating in the dining room which has picture windows all around."

  • Our best LBI vacation ever!

"We had an incredible beach week at this lovely home! The house was in great shape, very clean, tidy, well-equipped and updated. The location made our week in Barnegat Light so easy - we walked or rode bikes everywhere and only had to use our car for the occasional trip further down the island. We always stay in BL because it's quiet and peaceful there, and this week was no exception. The lighthouse and harbor, Kubel's, Poppy's, etc., are all within easy walking/biking distance, as is the beach (though the dunes are wider here so it's a slightly longer walk... but the beaches are less crowded, a big plus). This was the first time in several years that we brought our two dogs with us. The rental permits pets, but you'd never know it - there were no signs of pet wear-and-tear. A wonderful home away from home. Owners are wonderful, exceptionally nice and pleasant to deal with. We really hope to return next summer!"

  • Very nice, clean and well equipped.

"We came up to New Jersey to move our daughter out of the dorms at Seton Hall and decided to stay four extra days. We decided to try to find a beach house less than a week ahead of time. The owners were great to work with and we were able to get this done very quickly. One thing to be aware of, here, is that they do not supply towels or bed sheets. We honestly, did not have room in the car to bring these items since we filled it up with the contents of a dorm room, but no problem, you can rent towels and sheets from a place right down the street and they were waiting for us at the front door when we arrived. It was a little early in the season, so it was a still too cool to lay on the beach, but we could still walk on the beach. We rented bikes one day and rode down to Surf City and back. While this was a nice ride during the off season, due to the many bays that come into the island, the only way to get there was to stay on the main road down the center of the island. I would imagine that in season, this road gets real busy. Since our daughter, had just spent a semester at college, she really wanted some home cooked meals, so we ate most of our meals in the house, but there were many restaurants and stores within walking distance or a short drive. Don't expect to be right on the beach here. The dunes here are the longest I have ever seen. Not necessarily a bad thing, but just be aware. Also, part of the path through the dunes is a wooden plank walkway. They laid the planks length wise (with the grain) so if you walk barefoot you can pick up a pretty nasty splinter (experience talking here). Flip flops or shoes would be recommended on the walk to the beach. We really enjoyed walking down to the lighthouse and walking to the top. We drove down to Surf City one day and went to a bookstore (I think it was called Book Worm?) and all got some books to read. The front porch was an excellent place to sit back and enjoy the breeze and read. Overall, it was a nice relaxing and comfortable stay. If you are looking for a beach town with a lot of action and things to do, this may not be your cup of tea. But if you want a nice relaxing place, close to the beach this house if perfect. If we have some more free time dropping off or picking up over the next couple of years, we will definitely try to stay here again."
