Great Vacation Home for Extended Family
"We really enjoyed our stay at this house! This was the fifth year in a row for us and we look forward to number six next year. We were 10 people (7 adults and 3 children) and there is more than enough space for all of us. It is listed as accommodating 16 and I think that would work fine. There are many things that make this house afttractive. Number one is location. Being beach front is wonderful for the views as well as convenient access to the beach. We easily go back and forth between the house and the beach (which is essential with kids). The fact that is is also only a few blocks to the bay, allows for easy use of the bay for activities like kayaking and paddle boarding. It is easy walking distance to a wide variety of restaurants, bagel shop, bars, retail stores, etc. Because it is only a few blocks from the causeway, it is easy to get on and off the island during peak times. The house itself is very comfortable and the extensive decks are wonderful. The owner, Chris, is a pleasure to deal with. He is extremely responsive and always tries to meet your needs. He continually is making upgrades to the house as well as keeping up with the maintenance necessary for a beach front house."

"We had our (small) wedding and reception here followed by a weeklong vacation with friends and family. The house and Kim's attentiveness far exceeded my expectations. This was THE PERFECT setting for our wedding, the pictures are amazing thanks to the wonderful location and beautiful deck overlooking the dunes and ocean. We really couldn't be happier!! All of our guests raved about the house. Plenty of room to escape, and nothing beats falling asleep to the sound of waves crashing on the beach.

"Long Beach Island is great post-season. Although the rip currents made it impossible to go into the ocean and it was too windy for the beach, we spent a lot of time in the bay waters, which were still warm. There is a bay beach and playground (great for small children) within walking distance (16th st), and it is a quick drive to Beach Haven for paddleboarding lessons. The house was so cozy and comfortable, and was set up well for 6 people to relax without feeling like we were stepping on top of each other. Not having to bring a high chair, pack n play, and toys from home were a plus since we had limited space in our car. Not to mention the awesome toy store (Haymarket) right on the corner! Thank you, we will be back."

"My wife and I have been renting this cottage every year for many years. One of the reasons we keep returning is because we think it is the ideal summer cottage. While the outside may look dated (compared to today's "McMansions"), inside it has been totally renovated with bright shore-appropriate colors and furniture. Now that it has been raised, it offers a front deck on which to sit and enjoy a glass of wine in the evening or to savor your morning coffee. While there is air-conditioning, being elevated allows you to open the windows and better enjoy the wonderful sea breezes. It is bright and open inside, and roomier than it may appear from the outside. The kitchen has marble counter-tops and the latest appliances, along with every utensil one would want to prepare home-cooked meals during your stay (as we do.) The first floor has a living room adjoining the kitchen, ample seating, a large TV, a full bathroom with a washer and dryer, and a master bedroom with a comfortable queen-size bed. Upstairs are two bedrooms, each with two twin beds, a sitting room with an additional TV, and a half bath -- ideal if you have children or drop-in guests. And with the newly remodeled Acme supermarket just two miles down the boulevard, it is no longer necessary to travel all the way over to the mainland for your grocery needs. Needless to say, we plan to return yearly for as many years as the good Lord lets us."
