Shhhhhh says the Ocean
"The only place I have ever stayed where the sound of the ocean sings me a lullaby as I drift off to sleep. My wake up call is the sun rising out of the ocean reminding me it's time to hunt for the morning's first sea shells right outside my door. If you've never stayed ocean front down the Jersey Shore, then this place is your chance to cross it off your bucket list at an affordable price. Rental has everything you'll need, and the owners are a pleasure to deal with. Guarantee you'll return! I do every year."

"We really enjoyed our stay at this house! This was the fifth year in a row for us and we look forward to number six next year. We were 10 people (7 adults and 3 children) and there is more than enough space for all of us. It is listed as accommodating 16 and I think that would work fine. There are many things that make this house afttractive. Number one is location. Being beach front is wonderful for the views as well as convenient access to the beach. We easily go back and forth between the house and the beach (which is essential with kids). The fact that is is also only a few blocks to the bay, allows for easy use of the bay for activities like kayaking and paddle boarding. It is easy walking distance to a wide variety of restaurants, bagel shop, bars, retail stores, etc. Because it is only a few blocks from the causeway, it is easy to get on and off the island during peak times. The house itself is very comfortable and the extensive decks are wonderful. The owner, Chris, is a pleasure to deal with. He is extremely responsive and always tries to meet your needs. He continually is making upgrades to the house as well as keeping up with the maintenance necessary for a beach front house."

"My wife and I have been renting this cottage every year for many years. One of the reasons we keep returning is because we think it is the ideal summer cottage. While the outside may look dated (compared to today's "McMansions"), inside it has been totally renovated with bright shore-appropriate colors and furniture. Now that it has been raised, it offers a front deck on which to sit and enjoy a glass of wine in the evening or to savor your morning coffee. While there is air-conditioning, being elevated allows you to open the windows and better enjoy the wonderful sea breezes. It is bright and open inside, and roomier than it may appear from the outside. The kitchen has marble counter-tops and the latest appliances, along with every utensil one would want to prepare home-cooked meals during your stay (as we do.) The first floor has a living room adjoining the kitchen, ample seating, a large TV, a full bathroom with a washer and dryer, and a master bedroom with a comfortable queen-size bed. Upstairs are two bedrooms, each with two twin beds, a sitting room with an additional TV, and a half bath -- ideal if you have children or drop-in guests. And with the newly remodeled Acme supermarket just two miles down the boulevard, it is no longer necessary to travel all the way over to the mainland for your grocery needs. Needless to say, we plan to return yearly for as many years as the good Lord lets us."

"I have stayed on LBI on again, off again, for 40+ years starting as a kid. Now, I'm renting for my own family, and this is a GREAT place. The neighborhood is quiet - great streets for kids on bikes or an early morning run or sunset walk. It has ready access to the bay - both the swimming beach and to boat rentals. And, while you're in a quiet neighborhood (right near the causeway), you're 2 blocks from a fun commercial area - restaurants, min-golf, etc. plus an easy walk to beach.
The house is extremely well maintained, and everything you'd need, you will find there - well equipped kitchen, mounds of outdoor furniture for time spent by the bay. Note - we're not a boat family, but there is a dock right in the backyard. And the owners have been extremely accommodative while making sure that our stays were comfortable.
I look forward to renting at this house for years to come - it's our home away from home."
