"Great House for large group, we recently stayed - we were 5 families, all with 2 kids each (under the age of 6!), the house large enough to give everyone enough space to themselves. The house is well stocked and finishes are beautiful. 1 very short block to the beach, pizza across the street and loads of ice-cream stores! You never need to drive anywhere. Jim is fabulous to work with."Guest: Kristel Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: September 5, 2014View listing
"My family and I enjoyed this house! It was comfortable, clean, cool when needed, and convenient to beach & stores. We especially enjoyed the backyard for hanging out. We felt safe sitting out there in the evenings, and it was quiet and private. The beach was very clean, quiet, and folks in that area were friendly. I would definitely consider renting again. The owners were nice, friendly, and available in case of need. The island itself was great, in fact I did not want to leave. We had good fish on the north end and a yummy Italian bakery just south of Surf City. Thanks for the great, restful vacation!"Guest: none Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 25, 2014View listing
"My wife, 7 month old son, and I stayed here over Labor Day weekend and really enjoyed our time here. This is a great location, with beautiful views of the bay out of almost all of the house's windows, and it's a short walk to either the ocean-side beach, or a small calm bay-side beach that we found to be perfect for our 7 month old. The deck offered similarly great views of the bay and we did a fair bit of grilling and eating outside there. If I were you, I would ignore the two star review posted earlier. We hesitated a bit when we read the review, but trust me, the review is more of a reflection of the reviewer than of the house. The house WAS clean and tidy. Yes, it's not a modern, sleek luxury hotel room with top of the line appliances, but the quality of the decor and furniture are right in line with what you'd expect to find in a beach house."Guest: Mike T. "we are 5-6 couples in our 40's who just stayed at Chris' home in Loveladies this past weekend. This is our second year renting a home from Chris and our ninth year going to LBI together. We will never look for another home to rent. The views are the best on LBI with an ocean view from each bedroom. Even more important to us was the community space. Couches and t.v. for football, a huge table where we could all sit and eat and talk, and great decks to relax on. We are friends from college and enjoy spending the weekend eating and drinking together and this home was ideal. There is another living area on the first floor as well as another full sized refridgerator which came in very handy with this group. Also, my husband and I were able to bring our older dog with us which is very important to us, and also very difficult to do when renting on LBI. Chris is ridiculously generous and beyond fair. I have talked to MANY home owners through the years when looking for a house to rent and none have come close to being as easy going and accommodating as Chris, which goes a long way in my book. His homes are always clean, have plenty of cooking supplies, and have electronic locks which makes things very easy with this many people. No one could possibly be anything but so excited to stay here and sad to leave. I will refer Chris and his homes to all friends and family who are visiting the Jersey shore. We are already talking about next year! Thanks again!"Guest: Amy S. Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: October 13, 2014View listing
