"My family and I rented this open, airy comfortable beach house for a week and we were so happy. We hosted three generations and a puppy and there was something for everyone. My 86 year old mom was comfortable on the first floor bedroom and easy access first floor shower and bathroom... My non beach loving husband enjoyed reading and relaxing on the front porch where there was always a breeze ... My twenty something daughters and their friends were at the beach daily ... riding bikes, visiting shops in PPB and Bayhead ... and enjoying karaoke nights at the Ark and fun times at Wharfside patio bar. I hosted friends and family with home cooking in the fully equipped kitchen ... outdoor deck and grill, or nearby restaurant ... Luigi's delivers! And last but not least our puppy was frisky and safe in the private, fenced and gated back yard which worked for all of us. Other highlights outdoor shower, easy wi-fi, ceiling fans, a/c (not needed) ... A win all around! Next year I'm coming back for same week ... Maybe two!"Guest: Beth Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 24, 2014View listing
"This was the perfect setting for my 3 siblings and I to get together. My sister even brought along her husband, daughter, son-in-law and 2 grand children all the way from Down Under! We each took turns in the well equipped kitchen preparing dinner for the rest, and the bedrooms were very spacious meeting each of our needs. The homeowners were available but not obtrusive ... lending a hand and making every effort to make our stay enjoyable. The marina next door provided just the right kind of entertainment as we all love the water not to mention a great opportunity to capture various pictures for our scavenger hunt! Sadly we never had time to take advantage of the Sunfish but I hear you always want to "leave them wanting more". I heard several times we will have to do this again. The house is very private with a lovely look over the water and we even got to see fireworks across the river one night! The beach and boardwalk (with amusement park) was a short drive away and we LOVED having it only 1.5 hours from home in case work decided to disturb our calm. The Island Beach State Park is 12 miles away and well worth the drive - great kayaking and beach time can be had. Oh! And how can I forget the small little beach a short walk down the street ... PERFECT for the Grands to get in a quick dip and build a castle (oh yea ... and launch a kayak or 2)!! So thanks to Mark and his brother for making this a great vacation for my family!"Guest: Barbara S. Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: October 2, 2014View listing
"My husband & I stayed at the house for a long weekend in September. It was lovely. The house was great. The common area - kitchen area, etc. was so pleasant. We really enjoyed being able to watch the sunset each night from the top deck. This house is a great place to stay and an outstanding value. The owner was very responsive, pleasant and easy to communicate with. 2 Thumbs Up!"Guest: Viki Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: October 10, 2014View listing
"Stayed at this wonderful home with 2 of my friends for a week. Booked the house sight unseen and we were very pleased by the house. 3 well sized bedrooms. The master bedroom had a small bathroom with a shower and the two other bedrooms shared a large bathroom with a full tub. The kitchen was very nice and included a dish washer. Just about any kitchen utensil we needed was provided. The home also had brand new carpeting put in. We were pleasantly surprised with the location. 2 small markets were a short drive away and we were within walking distance of an italian deli, bagel shop, pizza place, ice cream store, BBQ restaurant and frozen yogurt stand. We were also walking disatnce to a liquor store and the Surf City Hotel. Looked like a new bar was being rebuilt in back of the liquor store. It was a short three block walk to the beach. Overall we loved the property and working with the owners. Having a great "home" for the week allowed us to relax and enjoy our vacation."Guest: Michael C.
