  • Great house in central location

"Stayed at this wonderful home with 2 of my friends for a week. Booked the house sight unseen and we were very pleased by the house. 3 well sized bedrooms. The master bedroom had a small bathroom with a shower and the two other bedrooms shared a large bathroom with a full tub. The kitchen was very nice and included a dish washer. Just about any kitchen utensil we needed was provided. The home also had brand new carpeting put in. We were pleasantly surprised with the location. 2 small markets were a short drive away and we were within walking distance of an italian deli, bagel shop, pizza place, ice cream store, BBQ restaurant and frozen yogurt stand. We were also walking disatnce to a liquor store and the Surf City Hotel. Looked like a new bar was being rebuilt in back of the liquor store. It was a short three block walk to the beach. Overall we loved the property and working with the owners. Having a great "home" for the week allowed us to relax and enjoy our vacation."

  • Home for the Holidays!!

"We truly felt home for the holidays in this comfy, wonderfully detailed and conveniently located beach house. From the moment we opened the door we knew it was going to be a great stay! The home is as shown in the pictures. There are all the amenities needed and then some! We are originally from the area and found the home easily accommodated an afternoon of family stopping by to visit with us (they all loved the home as well!!) It is close to the beach, parks, shopping in Spring Lake, great area restaurants, and a super deli and bagel shop just down the street. It was a cold week at the Shore but the fireplace kept everything cozy, an added bonus that really sold us! Great family spaces, off street parking for three vehicles (which I know is a plus in the summer), ample sized bedrooms & baths, great amenities, convenient, and most important - attentive homeowners. What more could we say!!! If there was anything negative at all it was lugging in our linens, blankets & towels - a small price. (Tip: we did use space bags to pack them up and they worked great!) We truly enjoyed our week back home and will definitely return :)"

  • Perfect Place

"I loved staying at this beautiful home. Staying in Holgate truly gives you the feeling you are much further away from home then you really are. The owners decorated this home perfectly to make you never want to leave. I loved being so close to the beach without paying beach front rates. The rooftop patio is the best. You really have perfect view of the bay and ocean from side to side. I wish I could keep this place as my little secret getaway so it would always be available to me but that would be selfish. I truly recommend this home without a doubt. Enjoy!"

  • Oh what a house!

"We spent a few weeks on the island and thankfully we chose Serendipity as our rental, it was pure perfection! The house was spacious, well appointed (from little touches to comfortable furnishings) and completely equipped with just about everything we needed. The upper level living area had a great flow, pretty views, large decks and was the perfect size for our crew; an additional lower level family room was a great place for the kids to play. I think my favorite spot (other than the beach of course) was the rooftop deck & hot tub, the views were breathtaking and there is nothing like soaking in a hot tub after a full beach day. Thank you Serendipity and we will see you again soon!"
