  • Beautiful Home

"We had a terrific stay on Lady Bug Lane. I almost want to keep it a secret. Mel did a fantastic job making the house comfortable and beautiful. It was spotless. The outside deck was spacious with plenty of seating. The walk to the beach was easy, even with kids. Mel provided us with beach chairs, sand toys, a wagon and a cooler on wheels. We absolutely loved our stay and hope to return."

  • Perched right on the dunes overlooking the sea

"This was our first time to LBI and I was so happy that we chose Harvey Cedars and this house in particular. The oceanfront homes in Harvey Cedars have an absolutely breathtaking view of a wide horizon on dunes and ocean. It's not just that you can see the sea, it's that you have a panorama that seems to go on for miles and miles. And this particular house is sited diagonally on a double plot so that two of the bedrooms (the master and the one with two twins) have magnificent views that complement that panoramic view of the main living area. Best part: In either of those two rooms, you can really hear the surf (loud) all night and feel the sea breezes as you sleep. Wonderful. Other than that, the house is clean and neat with everything you need to be comfortable and enjoy. We'll definitely be back!"

  • Great location and great house in Beach Haven!

"Our family stayed at this lovely ocean front duplex last week: 4 adults, 2 young children and a dog and we really enjoyed the house! The house was clean, comfortable and it had all the basic things that you may need. if you plan to cook, you may just want to bring a good knife and don't forget the sheets/towels! You may also want to bring a queen size blanket for each of the 2 beds - the ones in the house were a bit small and need to be replaced. We forgot the sheets for one bed, so we had to purchase a set at the B&B store on the main drag!) The outdoor shower was great, washer and dryer on the outside worked well, and we had breakfast, lunch and dinner on the the deck overlooking the ocean (we had the first floor) just about everyday! Thank you Ellen - we definitely plan to be back!!!"

  • Winter fet away

"We came down for a weekend stay to end the Christmas holiday season and loved every minute of our time here. The house is extremely comfortable for one or multiple families as there is lots of space, spacious bedrooms, great home entertainment and lots to do outside. We had a beautiful star lit night that was great for star gazing. Being a birder I had a great day, starting at the Holgate section of the Forsthye NWR, a ten minute drive down to the bottom of the island, we had incredible views of Long Tail Ducks, Snowy Owls, Peregrine Falcons and lots more. Headed up to Barnegat Light House in the afternoon, kids climbed to the top of the lighthouse while adults went out to the end of the jetty for fantastic looks at Harlequin Ducks, Common Eiders and all three Scooters. Finished the day with Short Eared Owls and a great dinner at a local tavern. Next day was cycling and a hike before heading home. For families looking for home comfort and great outdoor activities to adult groups who are birders, kayakers, or almost any outdoor lover this is the place. Birding is really great in the winter and fall for waterfowl, raptors, owls and other northern migrants and then again in the spring and summer for nesting species. We'll be back soon."
