  • Great Place to Stay

"I recently planned a party for my brother and some friends. We were looking for a nice outdoors weekend. The house was great. It was very quiet and relaxing and the provided boat, canoe and 2 kayaks were great for spending time on the lake. We also went paintballing and mountain biking. Each was only about 30 minutes away. I want to thank the owners for being easy to work with and definitely plan on staying again sometime."

  • Fantastic multi-family, child-friendly Autumn weekend getaway

"We rented this property for a short weekend away from Brooklyn to enjoy some fresh air, elbow room and country ambience for us and the kids. We were 2 families with 2 young children each (all under four), and couldn't have hoped for a better, easier to get to getaway. Its easy enough to assume upstate NY is the place to go for a Fall weekend but Bedminster had it all, and barely an hour drive from Brooklyn! So easy to get to, this old farmhouse (mid to late 1800s?) has been exquisitely updated with a checklist of modern amenities (large contemporary kitchen, impressive A/V system [with a massive LCD screen and full surround sound with access to Apple TV and an extensive music library], comfortable beds, crazy huge upstairs shower including a rain-shower head (the kids loved this), romantic outdoor lighting, hot tub, etc.) yet the whole place retained such a magical vibe of a relaxed, quiet and comfortable rural life straight out of early America. The immediate neighbors are a small country church to the East, a cow farm to the North, a cornfield to the South and a modest general store/antique shop to the West. The property was totally private and unique. It was a thrill to lay in the yard at night and actually have our kids appreciate the stars, something you don't see much in Brooklyn! Not to mention the silence. The owner Andrew is conscientious and seems completely concerned about the absolute well-being of his guests, giving us fantastic tips about local Fall activites/orchards and easy directions to local amenities like the nearest grocery store and bagel shop, which are very close by, an easy and beautiful 10 minute drive. Having been rained out of our Saturday activity, the Oktoberfest in Warren, we ended up just running around the yard with the kids all afternoon, enjoying the hammock, the porch, the cows and the fresh air. And we couldn't resist building a fire in the fireplace on Saturday night. Then Sunday we took up Andrew's suggestion to check out the orchard in Oldwick, about 5 minutes away. It was absolutely perfect: hayride, pumpkins, apple cider donuts; busy but not nearly the crowds you see in Warwick or other upstate NY farms. And Oldwick itself seemed totally charming and worth exploring. We could have ultimately spent a week, if not a month, there. But we'll definitely be back if he keeps it available. An Autumn weekend was perfect but it seems ideal year-round."

  • Much Needed mini Vacation

"I recently stayed in this rental to celebrate my birthday with my Boyfriend and 2 other couples. The room was perfect for a group getaway. With 3 couples, two rooms and the pull out couch we had more then enough room to be comfy, plus the view of the mountain is the best in the complex! (trust me I've stay here before) The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. We had brought some food with us, and managed to cook each night without going out and spending money. Plus it's nice and big, 3 people cooking in there and not crowded :) Bill was a pleasure and easy to work with. I will be renting from him again, and I most definitely recommend staying in his unit and enjoying a nice mini vacation at the mountain. Thanks Bill!"

  • Romantic Getaway

"As a returning guest of this property I cant emphasis the convenience and comfortable nature of the unit. It is a great size for 2-4 people and the view of the mountain cant be beat. It was well equipped for all the needs of my weekend getaway. I recommend it for hitting the slopes or enjoying any of the luxuries Mountain Creek offers (golf, water park, ziplining etc.). I also suggest staying here if you plan to go to the Warwick winery--it was a short 10 minute drive. The hot tub at the end of the day really makes the trip. Helena is by far the best property manager I have worked with and I have rented a lot from vrbo and homeaway.com. She really cares about her unit and those who rent with her. I recommend her property to anyone who is thinking of a weekend getaway! If you are looking for a good meal, I suggest Kites!"
