  • The best vacation!

"I've been vacationing in Cape May for 20 years and this August, my fiancé and I enjoyed our stay in this beach more than I can express in this review! We spent two glorious weeks in this beautiful beach house, corner lot with spacious interior, plenty of parking spaces and a wonderful deck offering spectacular views of the Delaware Bay! The sunsets rival the "greatest show in the Keys"! David and Janine provide everything the vacationer could want and more. Whether you want to spend a day on the Bay beach or CM City beach, riding bicycles or simply sitting on the deck or porch, they provide every amenity you can imagine to make your day a special one. From the house, the path over the dune to the beach is quintessential Cape May. We walked the beach every morning and most mornings we saw dolphins not far from us swimming north in the bay! Every day we marveled at the sandbar that appears with low tide. It allowed us to walk further out into the bay and search for Cape May Diamonds! We enjoyed breakfasts on the deck and would drive into CM City (during the hottest part of the days) to lunch at many of our favorite haunts (Zoe's, the Mad Batter, the Pier House, Hot Dog Tommy's, and the Lobster House-of course-just to name a few!) For years, we've been seeing the banners advertising Harpoon Henry's and this year, we found it! Although, we didn't need to dine there to watch the sunset (since we had a perfect view from the deck of the beach house), we did eat dinner there twice and enjoyed ourselves and appreciated the close proximity to the house (less than one mile!) We enjoyed grilling the best fresh cut filets from the West Side Market! We enjoyed the best fresh seafood (shrimp and day boat scallops) from Fresh Catch, a new fish market on Bayshore. Their prices were in line with the quality of their offerings. We enjoyed visiting the local farm markets almost every day to pick up something for dinner or breakfast the next day! Everything we ate was fresh and delicious. We've been to the CM Vineyards & Winery many times, so, we visited the Hawk Haven Vineyards & Winery-they offer live music on Sundays! The beach house is so conveniently located close to the Bay beach, to the Ferry, to grocery stores, to fresh farm markets, to the airport, to the harbor, to CM City beaches, shopping & events, to CM Lighthouse, to Migratory Bird Sanctuary, to Sunset Beach, to EVERYTHING! Yet, you don't even have to leave the house to have a wonderful time!"

  • Wonderful Location

"We stayed in this lovely home in August 2014. What is there not to love about Cape May and this location is perfect. We had 3 children under 4 years old and 6 adults. Plenty of room for all. No matter what your tastes are from beach to shopping to bike riding to quiet time on the porch it had it all. Being able to do all within walking distance is great. The stairs can be difficult for small children and anyone with mobility issues and getting our suitcases up 2 flights of stairs (one spiral) and back down was an issue we were glad we had to deal with only arriving and leaving. Great vacation home!"

  • So Nice to Stay on the Beach....Almost

"This is a very nicely appointed and immaculate apartment, with moderately tropical decorative elements -- very pleasant, not over done. There is a lot fitted into its relatively compact space. That is, the living room, kitchen and dining alcove are really one room. Comfortable seating is limited to the sofa. I was surprised at the lack of space and seating when we first checked in, but it seemed less of a problem as time passed and I spent most of my indoor time sitting at the dining table knitting. The small deck is most comfortable for one person, although it should be said that any deck or balcony with a view is a luxury in Cape May. In addition, there is a large common sitting area on the front veranda with Adirondack chairs and rockers. The under-building storage area is large and tidy, ample for multiple bikes. It is really nice to have beach chairs and umbrellas provided. The description doesn't mention the building's elevator, which was a real treat, as we have lugged suitcases and supplies up many flights of stairs during our 30+ years of coming to Cape May. Please note that the elevator starts on the first floor, up about 10 steps from ground level. The owner was wonderfully responsive to emailed and telephoned questions."

  • Great Vacation Getaway in Southern Shore Region, Cape May

"The listing is very accurate in regard to location description and home amenities. The photos are reflective of the home. The home is clean and well maintained and has all the amenities one would need on vacation. The owner was available to answer all questions and followed up promptly. Nearby attractions: Sunset Beach was just awesome in the evenings, Shopping and some of the best restaurants are minutes away. The Mad Batter is a 4 minute drive from the house. The location of this home is just perfect. Close to everything; but far enough away to just relax. The breeze coming in off the ocean was just awesome. We enjoyed our stay and plan on returning again next year."
