Pictures Don't Do This Home Justice. Two and Four Legged Visitors Will Love It.
"We were looking for a pet friendly home for our Cape May vacation and we were not disappointed. In fact, the pictures of this home on the website do not do it justice. From the outside, it looks small, but inside is very spacious, beautifully decorated, and well maintained. You open the door into this huge open area where there is a table that can easily seat 10. This is where I found a handwritten card from the owner telling us to enjoy our stay and to also enjoy the French apple pie and Jersey tomatoes in the fridge. Nice Touch!!! A living room with lots of seating is just off this room and there is a very large kitchen with a table that seat 3-4 easily. Kitchen is also fully equipped with double oven, microwave, dishwasher, etc. At the back of the home is a very comfortable family room with a 55 inch flat screen. This is the PERFECT place for this room since all the bedrooms are at the front of the house. Kids can watch TV or movies, play video games, or whatever and never disturb anyone. Off the family room is a large deck with seating for 6 and extra chairs with a propane BBQ grill which we used often. An extra propane tank was there as well. The back yard is completely fenced in with wire fencing around all the nooks and crannies (under steps, at the bottom of the fence, etc.). Our goldens didn't need this but small dogs would be very safe in this back yard. The three bedrooms were beautifully decorated with bed linens that matched the color scheme of the room. The master bedroom was huge with a king bed and it's own bathroom and plenty of room in the dressers and closets. The owners also provided a beach cart with 4 beach chairs, two umbrellas, a small cooler and even beach toys. They also provided a beach umbrella service so we had a very large umbrella set up for us each day from a vendor on the beach at no charge. And don't forget the bikes in the small shed out back. There is even a pooper scooper and bucket for cleaning up the messes. Oh, and don't think because this is a pet friendly home it smells like old dog. It was remarkably fresh and clean. Friends staying in Cape May that week remarked they never would have guessed dogs were ever in this house.
The house is about 5 short blocks to the beach so you need to prepare for that. However, there is a public bathroom right at the beach entrance. You won't have to go back to the house all day if you pack a lunch.
It was a WONDERFUL week in Cape May."

"This is our 3rd straight summer vacationing in CM and our first at this property. Let me just start by saying ..... we will be back. It is in a great location. Just 2 short blocks to the beach, 3 to the Rusty Nail, and maybe 5-6 to the Washington St. Mall (under 10 minutes to be sure) Under 2 blocks to the Black Duck, Sapporo, Godmothers, ice cream and Sunset Liquors. Really, just perfectly situated. The house itself is spotless and looks even better than the pictures. They have replaced the kitchen table in the picture with a MUCH larger and nicer one that can probably seat 8-10. The 3 bedrooms are all a nice size and the beds were really comfortable. The bunk beds are ideal if traveling with a large family or 2 families vacationing together. The front porch was just great for morning coffee and the outdoor shower was new and perfect for coming off the beach. They also have a large garage out back which was great for storing our bikes and beach cart/chairs. They also provided 5-6 chairs if you dont feel like lugging yours down. 6 beach tags, too! Gas grill was newer and had propane. It was great for grilling fresh tuna steaks from the Lobster House. All in all, a great family vacation and we hope to be able to rent from them for years to come. BTW, she was very responsive and easy to work with as well. Thanks again for a great week

"What a charming find. This cottage delivers the perfect balance of old and new. Owners are pleasant, responsive, and available. The house is one of the many quaint homes on the street and has lovely views of the Atlantic. The cottage is immaculate and has been meticulously cared for. Not only is it beautifully decorated but it's comfortable too. We vacationed here with two tweens and our dog. Each night we could hear the crashing of the waves and, upon going outside, could smell the perfume of the ocean. Secluded, yet so close to the center, this charming home was a

"This was my fifth visit to Cape May and my third year in a row renting a home- The dog house was hands down my favorite!
We had 50 some-things down to 19-year-olds and everybody loved this house! It is so conveniently located across the street from the beach! Have to use the bathroom? Want to grab a bite to eat? I need to make a phone call for work? Not really a beach person and need to get out of the sun and read a book? Forgot something? It's literally a five minute commute! Not only is it close to your beach blanket but adults and kids alike can walk into town in 15 minutes.
Our crew of people love to cook. The dog house has a very spacious kitchen and comes with an ice maker which, if you think about it, is invaluable at the beach house! The grill is right outside if you choose to Bar-B-Q. It has a huge dining room table for meals or playig board games with your crew! It also has a mini apartment on the third floor for a teenage hang out place, babies for napping in peace, or for the people that snore really loud! There is another fridge and kitchen up there too which proved invaluable for us! The bedrooms were all cozy, two of them having balconies-nothing better than waking up, opening the door, stepping onto a balcony to breath in the ocean and check the weather! The outdoor shower was the best one yet! Very spacious, clean and private- so refreshing! Everything was really terrific but if you asked all 22 of us (18 people at a time), everyone will tell you its the front porch that holds this house's charm. It will instantly destress you!
When renting this house you must realize.... something this good does not come without great responsibility. You have to dress the huge cement dogs on each side or the steps in the front! Everyone looks to see what they are wearing and asks to take pictures with them- dont let them down!
I would highly reccomend that you rent this house- just dont choose my week! Lol"
