"We recently returned from celebrating a 65th birthday by spending a girls (+ adult daughters) week at the beach. We LOVED the house. Being right on the beach with such a great view was joyful from the moment we arrived. When it was cold, we sat inside and could see the ocean from the couch. When it was nice, we sat on the deck in the rockers. The pictures are completely accurate. The house is two identical units, one on the top level (3rd floor) and a mid-level one on the second floor. We took the mid-level and enjoyed having the covered deck and the gas fireplace, which we used a lot!. The house just gets five stars and a rave review --- we truly loved our stay. It's clean, not worn and as expected. Walking on the beach is great - hard, flat, easily walkable beaches. Scott is easy to deal with, no issues. I would re-rent in a heartbeat if we decide to return to OC."Guest: S B. Date of Stay: April 2014 Review Submitted: April 26, 2014View listing
"We have stayed in this unit for two weeks every year for the past four years. As you enter the house you will notice 2 BIG decks: one with a grill and a table right off the kitchen and a larger wrap-around porch with two tables and chairs and a third seating area. The kitchen is large with a big farm style table that easily seats 12. Next to the kitchen is a formal dining room with a table that seats 8 comfortably and invariably gets turned into an office or card playing table throughout the week. The living area is a little dark because of the unpainted wood details common to the age of the house. (I believe it was built in the early 1900's.) Both sets of stairs are solid and wide. The room at the top of the stairs has recently be redone with new furniture. (My mom says the bed is to die for. Next comes a beautifully renovated bathroom that pays homage to the era of the house...Bob replaced the wiring and left the antique light switches in place. The next room is my daughters own little oasis. The room is painted a dark green and has been coupled with white plantation style furniture. The master bedroom is beautiful with a king sized four poster bed and a reading alcove that is surrounded on three sides by windows. The view of the ocean from this point is very relaxing. It also has a HUGE walk-in closet. (I'm secretly crossing my fingers that it will one day be turned into a powder room for the master thereby making it into a master suite.) The top floor sports a bathroom that would make a spa feel jealous. IT has a large glass enclosed shower stall and a soaking, claw-foot tub. The next bedroom is compact and features a full sized bed. The final room is what we affectionately refer to the "grandkids room" even though we have yet to have any. It consists of two sets of bunk beds with a trendily under each allowing sleeping for 6. If you are vacationing with little ones and you end up with a rainy day, it's nice to be able to send them to the third floor so they won't disturb the downstairs neighbors. You would be hard pressed to find something this large in this area of the boardwalk. The last amenity that you can't put a price on is that this unit gets ALL of the parking spaces behind the house. We have parked 5 cars there a few times and four fits quite easily. Bob is a wonderful owner and tries to deal with any issues as soon as he hears of it. "I rented this condo for the first time to celebrate my husband's 80th birthday. We had a wonderful time staying at this oceanfront condo which met all our needs. It was quiet, clean, well-maintained and just the perfect place for any couple to get away for a relaxing stay. Anne and Bob were even nice enough to leave us a complimentary bottle of wine, which we both greatly appreciated. We hope they will welcome us back in the future...and highly recommend others to join the growing list of couples who have found this little piece of paradise in Ocean City!"Guest: Kathleen G. "This rental is close to the beach, boardwalk and restaurants. It is a perfect location for the craft shows that are held in May and October. It's right out your front door! Everything went smoothly. We loved the keyless entry, no more worrying about who has the keys. Large porche in front and back. This unit has everything you could want: plenty of beds, two large bathrooms, nice appliances, beach tags for your use along with beach chairs. A tv in every room with DVD players. The WiFi worked great. There is plenty of parking spaces including a garage. We definitely recommend this rental!"Guest: Anonymous Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: October 13, 2014View listing
