"We stayed twice in December during ski trips to Taos. Once in the larger house and then in the smaller casita. Both places were well equipped, inviting and sufficiently warm for the cold December nights. They felt like home! The location is superb as we walked to Christmas festivities in the plaza and to nearby restaurants. David was great to deal with but the real treat was getting to know Yavanne. She took excellent care of us, made sure that we had everything we needed, and even offered to cook for my 4 college aged boys (sons and nephews) that came with insatiable appetites. What a godsend to find food waiting for us when we returned from the ski hill. I recommend asking her to cook for your family/group!! She is a superb cook - better than the restaurants nearby - best guacamole that we have had and nice traditional roasted green chili stew (spicy which our NM kids have been missing in college!). We are already planning additional ski trips to Taos and will be talking to Yavanne about cooking more dishes for us. See you soon Yavanne and next time we are bringing some good wine to go with your food! Thanks."

"Absolutely perfect. Original plan was 7 days but were able to extend for 3 more fabulous nights. The cottage is part of an old historic compound, Nancy and Bud lived next door in what was the merchantile. Everything was in true character, old, funky, fun, peaceful and restful, and very well appointed from kitchen to bed and bath. The fragrance from the blooming lilacs drifted through our open doors in the evening, the birds singing and everything waking up from winter sleep made the place almost magical. Our hosts were so thoughtful and kind, we had only to ask and they would give suggestions about most anything you could imagine, sights to see, best foods locations. They new their city very well and enjoyed sharing their knowledge. We will surely visit again."

"We stayed at this home for 4 days and had a wonderful time. We have 6 young children and spent our time in Red River and some time in Taos. One of the funnest trips we've taken as a family. The house was close to both places and was the perfect size for our family. We will stay here again when we come back to visit."

"Our family gathered for a fabulous wedding for our son and his beautiful bride. The home was perfect for sleeping 8 adults and 4 children. It is artfully decorated, but safe with children. (we didn't break a thing!) The kitchen had all necessary items for feeing a crowd. The yard is spectacular with New Mexico vistas, patio, fish pond (fenced), hot tub, lawn and landscaping beautifully manicured. This is an ideal location for a wedding! Very enjoyable for any kind of celebration!"
