"Our expectations were exceeded by this Casita!!! Staying at this Casita was extremely pleasant and made our vacation much more memorable and satisfying. Charming, very comfortable and fantastic location! Very clean and so quiet. The amenities of the house were far more than adequate, and the personal touches really added to the charm! The artwork and books really gave us a sense of the location. To sit in the patios was much needed relief from city living!!!!! With the Mesilla Plaza so close to the doorstep, this house makes for a wonderful getaway! Restaurants, entertainment, gift shops, etc., are right down the street!
We came for a family reunion in Las Cruces and as the families visited the Mesilla Plaza, they would ask where we were staying. I would point down the street and say, "See that car down there..". They couldn't believe it! My parents remarked as to how authentic and beautiful the house was, as well as the neighborhood. Tamra made the process very easy and made it a pleasure arranging our stay. No problems whatsoever! We shall return!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. Wonderful beds, baths, kitchen and patio. Hosts were so accommodating and nice. If we are lucky enough to ever visit Santa Fe again, we will definitely choose this home and would recommend it to others. This is one that is even better than the pictures portray."

"Loved our casita right in historic Taos! Could walk everywhere we wanted to go! Comfortable bed, could use a more comfortable sofa for TV watching, but didn't spend much time doing that! There are several steps, which could be a mobility issue for some. But would definitely stay there again! Right off plaza, great for restaurants and shopping!"

"The Casita del Lago, perched above where the Chama River empties into Abiquiu Reservoir, across the water from the famous Ghost Ranch, and facing the everchanging colors of miles of scenic rock cliffs that stretch for as far as the eye can see, rewards you with views that are simply awesome, especially as sunset approaches. Many stunning photos can be made just by standing right outside of the Casita and pointing your camera in any direction. The views from inside the house are essentially the same, as framed by the many floor to ceiling windows. Inside the Casita itself is a nice blend of southwestern rustic charm and modern conveniences, with a full kitchen and 2 bedrooms that easily accommodated our party of 4 guests. The road in to the property is rough, and a minor inconvenience to drive, but the seclusion of the location once you arrive more than makes up for the drive in. Our stay was graced with excellent weather 6 of the 7 days, with predictably chilly but clear nights as well. We did lose power one evening for only a couple of seconds, and had to reset some breakers to get everything back running, but it was a trivial interruption to an otherwise perfect stay.
If you are looking for a super scenic and secluded slice of the high NM desert to rent, then a trip to the Casita del Lago will certainly be a great choice!"
