  • Wonderful Vacation Home with Fabulous Views

"The location of this house blew us away. The setting is exceptional in the beautiful foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. The expansive views from the patio and the large picture windows in the living room, dining room and den are truly breathtaking - a pleasure to wake up to each day and enjoy while having morning coffee. We found the house to be very comfortable with its open layout and it was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. All the appliances are modern and clean and the gas barbeque, washer and dryer are brand new. To say there is so much to see and do in the area is an understatement. Santa Fe is only a 10 minute drive from the house and is full of unique museums, wonderful cafes and restaurants, historic buildings, interesting shops and art galleries. The plaza is always lively with buskers and vendors selling native artwork. Venture a little further and you can explore many amazing pueblo ruins, cliff dwellings, an historical ranch, a ghost town, picturesque villages, a super caldera and wonderful hiking trails. We attended a Feast Day at a local Pueblo and had the privilege to observe sacred dances. The house is centrally located to all the attractions in the area and it was lovely to return to this beautiful and tranquil property at the end of each day."

  • Amazing Views of Nature, Beautiful Home

"Six of us stayed here during spring break of 2014. It was a true retreat! There are fields with horses surrounding the back and side of the house. We spent so much time sitting out by the ponds, watching the otters and geese and sitting on the floating deck. We also soaked in the hot tub under the stars after long days of skiing. The house itself is gorgeous and had everything we needed for our stay. It is VERY New Mexico in its style. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had all of the gadgets (minus a corkscrew!) and spices we needed. The home is located about 30 minutes from Taos Ski Valley and is about 10 minutes outside of downtown Taos (in the direction of the ski valley). The house is situated on the edge of a neighborhood and you must drive on gravel roads to get there. Make sure you keep your eyes open for coyote and for hundreds of prairie dogs as you drive home! I absolutely recommend this house. It is a great reflection of the lifestyle and landscape of Taos. I think it would be fun to see in all of the seasons. My friends and I plan on returning as soon as possible."
